In MK: DA Konquest mode it said that it was**rumored**Mavado got his hookswords from Kabal . From that people that Mavado thought Mavado killed Kabal and took the hookswords, I didn't believe that myself.The way I see it is that Mavado just got some hookswords like any other person would have.The Hookswords could have never been Kabal's hookswords.(< my opinion) Of course Kabal bio and Konqest in MK: Deception will explain everything.

I suppose you are right, that it was just a rumor. I would never want to think that those were Kabal's hookswords anyways.

I hope they weren't Kabal's - but if they were I'm sure he kicked Mavado's ass to get em back for Deception I know what u mean about discracing his rep. by stealing his sig weapons, but Mavado is the leader of the Red Dragon - and is very powerful (despite his spring moves.) It would be fun to see Mavado lose to Kabal in the intro, then actualy be playable in the game with another weapon (and new moves, but he can keep his alt uniform.

Now, I'm not disregarding anyone's opinions and theories and whatnot, but if the hookswords were, in fact, not Kabal's, how come he has a combo called "Kabal's Torment?" I mean, it would make sense if he had a combo called that if they were Kabal's. It wouldn't make a lot of sense if they weren't.

Mavado defeated Kabal and it's just a story that midway make up so I don't know why we are acting like if it's real.Midway just repond to what we wants,we want kabal in,all they have to do is make up some story saying Kabal was hiding and now he's out of the shadows.

I see as Mavado whooped kabal's ass, and took his hookswords as proof for defeating(kinda like a trophie).

Now think about it. For mavado, the leader of the red dragon clan, to face kabal means that kabal winning the fights against the other members of the red dragon.

I feel it does make sense for mavado to win.
1. He has more determination. He just isn't trying to live, but also wanting to geocide the black dragon.
2. If you also look back at conquest, all the styles hsu hao uses in the game, mavado taught him. Imagine how much he really knows though.

I guess it doesn't really matter to me who deserves to win in a battle with Kabal and Mavado. What i would like to see is a really sweet confrontation in Deception between Kabal and Mavado. I think that is more important than who should win in the MK story, because none of us really have too much control over who does. So i hope we see some really cool screen shots of them.

Plain and simple. he kicked kabal's ass and left him for dead. but as we all know kabal has had a few run in's with death and seems to get right back up anyways. they woulnt have put the hooks in deadly alliance unless they wanted to spark something between him and mavado. i have heard nothing about mavado's reappearance yet and after seein g theat screen shot with kabal and jade/tanya/ whoever she is i'd say that kabal exacted his revenge and got them back. but.... if he does kill mavado then what is kabal doing there? he was abandoned by the earth warriors... he has his revenge by getting rid of the infamous red dragon leader. so it will be interesting what role he will play in this.

wow. your cousin must really suck if you can beat him with mavado. he had some of the werst moves i have ever seen in any fighting game ever. bungee cords last time i checked werent a real thretning weapon. the ppl who created him should have hung themselves wioth those ropes. while he is a cool character, he fights like a retard. maybe a few new fighting style's and hsu hao's Sun Moon blades and he might actually wup some ass.

Probably not. It would be a shame for those hookswords not to appear in 3D form.

The only reason that i would like mavado to come back in deception is to personally woop his ass. Mavado doesn't have enough bungee ropes to escape me.

Actually i whooped his ass with every character i use in mk trilogy.My cousin is very arrogant and claimed that i can't play mortal kombat and he barely knows what he's doing. I just want mavado back so i can beat my cousin with him, and gloat about it.

NO, Mavado is not dead! If you go to Orderrealm you talk to him and he gives you gold coins for ruby coins. And why couldn't Mavado kick Kabal's ass! Mavado did get Kabal's hookswords from him but then sadley it says in Kabal's alt. costume bio (MKd) that he killed Mavado but I don't belive that because you see Mavado in Orderrealm. My theory is since The Red Dragon was in Mortal Kombat Deadly Allince they put the Black Dragon in Deception. Plus when you have to find the aftifact for the Lin Kei(Wright Spelling?) When you give one of the Sub-Zero's the password the dude says to find the artifact while they hold off their enemys the Red Dragon! Plus I think the new Black Dragon is stupied! Where's Kano!!! So there's my point MAVADO IS NOT DEAD!!!
