Weird A.I. happenings...

So I was playing yesterday (yes I still play MKDA) and was goin against Moloch... He's a cool boss and was very tough the first couple times i fought him, but I found too many easy ways to take him out.

Anyways, instead of rushing Moloch the whole match I started just ducking and holding block. And it's kinda funny, but he didn't do shit about it! He walked up to me then took some funny looking steps backwards and would either continuosly do his suck move or do his smash move.

The smash move would hit me but as you know his other attack can be blocked. He tried punching me a couple times but swung over me and could not grab me either. He did a few of his roars and busted down some pillars, but then he did something I've actually never seen him do... Moloch did a taunt! I know he's got a scream where he looks up, similar to between rounds, but his taunt was kinda like a Hulk Hogan flex, it made the taunt noise and he got some life back!

Ok a getting off topic a little...

My next fight was against Quan Chi, so i tried the duck and block scheme. He kinda walked back and forth hesitant to do anything until he attempted to do his chop-sweep move. Then he figured out a mid-attack would hit me. It was still funny to see the A.I. not know what to do! Shang Tsung was a little quicker to hit me with this dumb defense tactic.

So nothing spectacular, but interesting to see how different characters' A.I. react to certain situations!

dont beleive what? that moloch has a tount..hate to burst your bubble, but he does have one. he sticks his arms up in the air (and looks up as well) and his power goes up...just like every other character that has a tount. if you dont beleive me, get a codebreaker and try out moloch for yourself.

and with that moloch code, strage shit happens. characters body parts disappear..sometimes the entire character goes invisible...also, he can change styles. it makes the sound but the text stays the same.

I have not seen it do the 'TOUNT'(for you) but i have seen that the characted goes invisible.

put the game on max and hit him a few times...stay away from him as long as you can, and he'll taunt.

fighting moloch i always sidestep towards the screen and that can avoid all his hits except when he smashes the ground.

Well, my main point wasn't the taunt, but hey whatever... I just found it kinda funny how much of a pussy Moloch (and the other characters when controlled by the computer) can be when you play around with him. I'm doing a short one on this and got a few cool things captured, so if I can find a place to put my vid it will be up soon.
I've never seen Moloch do a taunt... But I believe you. I gotta go turn the game on and start playing around with the characters like that and see what they do.

Moloch often does his taunt when I play against him. I've seen him do that wierd backstep thing too.

Moloch has taunt, I've seen him perform it a couple of times. It's really slow though, so It gives me loads time to attack him before he revives his health, which is a very good thing.

I also noticed how the CPU hardly reacts when I stand Idly with my character without making a move.

By the way, you should try using the reversal system on Moloch, It's a very useful thing smile.

I remember the first time I saw Moloch taunt. My brother was playing against him and was beating him with about 5 seconds left to go on the clock so he started backing away, expecting the time to go down and to win the round. Instead, with about a second left on the clock, Moloch taunted, and got just enough health back to win the round.

LOL...I couldn't stop laughing! :)

lol, how dumb. most of the posts on this damn forum reguarding gameplay refer to vs the cpu stuff. please............the game is dead. no one but me is willing or has traveled for this game and no one will. so unless u go door to door looking for comp, the game is dead.

Well that would be your opinion now wouldn't it? If people still like the game, that's their thing. Hell I still love the game and have yet to find a better fighting game out there...So you think the game is dead, that's your buisness. Noone cares. Let it get dusty. Noone's gonna cry over you NOT playing a game YOU bought.

....Damn I haven't posted here in a while.

Don't know about you but the PAL version was only released in April, so at least in Australia and Europe, the game is only a few months old...and very much alive.
