LoL, Sindel has played a larger role in the overall story of MK than most. But I am biased since I loved the 2D MKs where Sindel was at the center of the overarching story.

And I hate Scorpion for being a stealthy assassin that wears day-glo yellow.

I don't really hate any MK character. I guess Midway had some reason to put them, no matter how bland and stupid they look. Rather than hate, I simply consider some characters not that necessary. And Scorpion was not only "necessary" in fans' opinion- he was hailed as an absolute and unquestionable logo and idol of the entire franchise. An MK without Scorpion??? We would rather nuke ourselves with a hydrogene bomb!

Really, he is way too much idolized as a number-one character... Should he return in MK8, give him a worthy role, at least to justify your esteem, because I didn't notice any greater change Scorpion went through in the story.

I think there's a possibility that Scorpion worked for Shang Tsung in some way in MK1. I say this because I noticed when Shang Tsung was defeated in MK:SM opening movie, Tsung opens a portal which his minions follow him through, including Scorpion. However this does not seem to fit in the story.... New Thread Idea!! lol.

I don't really have anything against Scropion as a character. I don't particilarly care for Midways bias towards the character.

It seems as if the folks at Midway give the character a bit of liesure, much more so than any other character except a few others.

I just hate all of the overrated popular guys who are overadvertised in the games.

It's not just Mk with Scorpion and Sub-Zero, there's DOA's 4 ninjas, VF's Akira, you know.

His storyline is also cheesy and uncreative and repetitive and needs to be fixed.

I don't hate him, there's much worse characters overall personally.

That he's Overrated. I always loved Scorpion as a kid. But seeing how he became like Master Chief of Mortal Kombat. I kinda grew out of him. I love Noob Saibot more, now that I'm older.
