For me it is MK3 series. It is really interesting the way that it begins and ending. Another favorite is from the First MK, with drums. I dont like too about Deception and Deadly Alliance. The music is all right, but I prefer the fatality in silence. Only screams, blood, bones...

MK2 also, and i like the 2ds announcers voice a hell alot better then the 3-d ones.3d one sounds to generic i like the montone voice of the old games it just has a cool effect to it.

I liked the Mk1 music the best because it was always different for each character.

MK2 imho, by far! It's all quick and viscious-sounding. Plus I have so many memories attached to that simple tune, as a wide-eyed child watching fatalities for the first time with baited breath.
As much as I love MK3, the fatality music was corny. But not as corny as MK4's.

Fatality Music rundown of the Mk games:
(Bearing in mind, I played the original games on the Mega Drive(Genesis to you Yankees) - Arcade Fatality themes may differ.
Mortal Kombat:
Rolling drums and low synth rumbling- sounded quite 'deathish' and ominous.
Mortal Kombat 2:
Very sinister-almost sounds like a synth rock Johhny Cage theme.
This is the one I always think of when I think of Mk.
It always made me laugh when I did the Fatalities.
My Favourite, this one!
Mk3 & UMk3:
Ahh, this one had a very odd sound to it - the Mk2 notes went downwards sinisterly and the Mk3 notes where arranged in an upwards, questioning and rather cheesy fashion.
Still good though.
Mk4:
Not played the game; heard the Fatality theme!
Again, rarther cheesy, but perhaps more brutal sounding than Mk3.
MkDa:
Not played the game; heard the Fatality theme!
Not too good in my opinion, it's kind of ghostly with weird piano noises!
MkD:
This one's good. It has a percussive, mettallic sound at the beginning; a quiet ochestral, low mix of sounds in the duration sequence, and at the end; a brutal mettallic and synth sound which signals the announcement of; "FATALITY!" Nice....
The thing I liked about the themes was that they were often based on a simple reflection of the way you would say "Fatality!"
Does anyone agree with me about about the specifics of my above opinions?
