What was the deal with MKII Jade's nameless energy bar?

I know they fixed that for home, but in the arcades her energy bar didn't have her name on it. Was that ever explained? Was that just a really bad omission, or what?

This is far from "official" info here but I always just assumed they did that to be all mysterious and cool and whatnot.

Hmm... did Smoke or Noob have the names? I forget. But Jade was the question mark on the kombat ladder so I guess it makes sense.

Yeah, Smoke and Noob had their names on the bars. They were completely normal(although when Noob won a round, the announcer said "Feel The Power of TOASTY!" Jade had a normal announcement, however).

I Think they hadn't an Official Name for her (Muchacha... ?, Mustard... ?, Ketchup... ?).

It's not that she didn't have a name. It says "Jade Wins" and she even has an annoucement from Kahn.

It must have just been something they overlooked.


I assume Noob didn't have an annoucement because he was added so late in development.
