What was you favourite Arcade MK Cabinet art?

I was at the movies not long ago, and saw an arcade game using an old MK1 cabinet, which was kinda cool, and got me thinking -- which cabinet art was your fave?
All were cool imo, really solid designs and I'm sure any MK fan with a dedicated machine treasures it.
Here they are again to refresh your memory:
MK1 -
MKII -
MK3 / UMK3 -
MK4 -
As for me, MK3's just kicks so much ass that it easily tops it, yet I like 'em all.
my ratings:
#1) MK3 / UMK3
#2) MK2
#3) MK4
#4) MK1
So which is your fave?

Its tough because I'm a fan of MK2 Raiden and MK3 Sindel, and both look really cool on their arcade cabs. I think I'm going to lean a bit more towards MK2's cab with Raiden on it. The lightning is just badass.

What's up with the Nintendo logo on the MK3 cabinet?!!?!
Anyway MKII has my favorite cabinet art. It's just... fundamental. It's a work of art!

Either the MK artwork was stuck onto a cab that had been a Nintendo game before, or they salvaged the sections with the controls attached to it from another cab.

My favorite MK side art appears on probably the worst game of the series, Mortal Kombat 4. Love the Quan Chi face. Can't miss it!

Sindel and Kahn look cool. I love the apocalyptic Chicago setting in the background and the MK3 giant 3 logo on the marquee and side is simple but nice. The metal grating style control panel art looks like no other MK and gives it that modern atmosphere MK3 has.
MK II's is almost as good. I love the lightning and how it even goes into the control panel.
MK4's Quan Chi picture is so...eye catching. The control panel art with the sword morphing into the 4 is cool.
MK1 just looks corny, which fits the game perfectly I guess. The bad part is the control panel art. Instead of just saying "high punch" there are goofy looking stick figure pictures of a character punching.
Dedicated cabinets are a thing of beauty. I love how every section of it has art for the game. Converted cabinets, especially when done poorly without any thought, often look horrible. What's tragic is how these great looking games end up being converted into other games as time goes on, ruining the art forever. Probably 90% of old MK cabinets have been painted over and trashed so that they could be turned into something else entirely. The arcade I go to has 3 or 4 different MK cabinets that have been painted over and are now games like Marvel vs. Capcom. It's depressing. These things are getting harder and harder to find in good shape. That's part of the reason MK3 is my favorite and most prized possesion in my MK collection.
And on a non-MK note has anyone else love the Tekken 5 dedicated cabinet? What an amazing machine. High quality monitor and sticks/buttons, metal parts, adjustable height, card slots, PS2 controller ports and very cool art. I think it's easily the best fighting game cabinet ever.

Heh heh, seems everyone had the same problem as me when choosing - they are all cool, and it makes it hard to choose the best.
I'm defintely in agreement w/ InviladNoobWarrior and Anyanka, MK3 wins out in the end, but with MKII running it really close.
However, on another day I might've sided with dreemer, Busta and mepeople - cus the Raiden art does look very very cool.
As most of you guys said, the lightning really adds to the mystique. Actually, that has always been one of my fave parts of MKII, the lightning theme associated with it. That intro sequence, where the lightning strikes and the MKII symbol shows up - ahh, brings back good ol' memories of MK2 on my Amiga
I think it's good too SubZero187, that you picked MK4, and queve - you picked MK1 as your 2nd fave. These were great designs as well, though like Anyanka says, MK1's is kinda corny now, but it fits perfectly with the game. Heh, best demonstration of MK1's cheesyness:
As for MK4, Quan Chi is badass on the side, though I would've liked Shinnok on the other. However, the best part for me is how the control panel looks, defintely the best control panel of the cabinets.
That is my fave aspect of MK3 (since the gamplay hadn't reached the standard of UMK3). The apocalyptic setting made the game for me, long before I knew anything about the superior gameplay of the MK3 series.
I just love the new-age, modernized warriors fighting on a deserted earth - it's all so morbidly desperate. That bleak setting is the best of the games, and is illustrated perfectly in the cabinet.

One final thought; That 'light' Sindel has in her outstretched arm, I believe it would've made for a great special move, perhaps only performable after she has levitated. Her levitation is pretty pointless since it takes so long to get up in the air - making it very dangerous, and then all she can do is an air fireball - which can be done when she is jumping anyways.
A 'flight specific' move, wouldn't have rendered the levitation quite so useless. And by the looks of it, the light fireball looks pretty damn poweful, woulda been awesome to have a super move that could only be done when she is in flight. Ah well...
