When MAT2 comes out, what MK game will you play 1st and why?

I will have to go with MK1. Even though MK3 is my personal fav out of the 2-D MKs. I never really played MK1 that much in the arcades. By the time I discovered MK1 , it was near time for it to come to home consoles and MK2 was very close. Also there is nothing like the 1st time you have played it as well personaly for me, MAT2 will take me back in time in 1992 when I was 8 years old and played MK1 for the 1st time in Gov square mall in Tennesse.

I own the genesis version of MK1 I ( to me) didn't get a very good version of it. I've played the snes and sega cd verions of MK1. The Snes version was perfect minus the blood that made MK , MK. The Sega CD version ( to me) was very very close to the normal Sega genesis verions just the same graphics and the real arcade music, and Shang Tsung load morphs were pretty bad. Till this day ( to my knowing) hasn't been a true version of MK1. I hope the console verions on PS2, GC and Xbox in MAT2 do all 3 MK games justice.

Well Ed Boon said in the Gameinformer interview (The online one) that the MK games in MAT2 will be arcade ports, running through a MAME type program.

With that said, I've been dying for an arcade perfect MK2 for a lonnnggg time. I will be trying out MK2 first.

I'm defs doing MK2 first. It is IMO the best game in the MK franchise and my brother loves it. I'll be doing MK1 next followed by MK3. I'm also gonna play Primal Rage.

That's what I was going to say (except for the MK3 part, I've already got it.) Even the bit about Primal Rage!

I do have MAME now, but I will probably buy the compilation anyway. Since the compilation will come out at the same time then MKD(october) i will probably wait a little bit to buy it and it will not be expensive at all
I never had a chance to play MK1 in the arcades so I'll go with that as my MK of choice .BTW Chaos from Primal Rage fights like Bo Rai Cho with the farts and the puke and they're both smelly apes.Actually I'm gonna play Primal Rage first ,Diablo and Vertigo rock,plus the eating of Humans ^_^

MKII Definitely. But after I beat it a couple times for nostalgia's sake, I'll play MKI and rip off Johnny Cage's head and spine.
1: Gauntlet 2 (I really wanna find out what made it so Great)

2: MK1 (even tho i wanna play Gauntlet 2 first, THIS will be the FIrst MK I play)

3: MK3 (gotta Save the Best for Last right ?)

4: Primal Rage (never did like this game much but I really wanna give it another Chance)

5: Mk2 (Wewt! I wonder if it will Still have the Reptile Sliding Floor Glitch in the Armory ?)

I completely forgot about the sliding floor glitch in the Armory. In my opinion, I would play MK3 first just to see which version of MK3 it is. Then MKII, and then MK1.

mortal kombat 1, mainly because out of the first three the first is my favorite, *tear* man i miss those days of whooping my older brother, showed him not to mess with one who liked to play as sonya.

MK3 then MK2.

Mk3 was fantastic and I want the arcade version with good sound and fast gameplay. MK2 was fantastic and I want the arcade version with good sound.

I'm going to play as Liu Kang in MK1 first, because I'm dying to do his cartwheel fatality on the pit stage! Haven't done that in so long.

Then after I lose a match in MK1, I'm gonna play as Liu in MK2, so I can do his dragon morph fatality. That has always been my favorite MK fatality to do.
