I think he's talking about all the animations with smoke have him stealing something. It might have been }[ombat who started it and the rest followed in mimicry. Now it's a precedent that if you make a cartoon with smoke, he has to steal somthing.

Go to the kombat pavilion and look at several cartoon animations.

I wonder if the creators of the game did that intentionally (smokes "borrowed" moves list)

or did they just run out of ideas...

- The Harpoon was for his Spear(Scorpion's) when he was Human.

- The Teleport Uppercut was probably intended to replace Scorpion's Teleport Punch, which people assumed Human Smoke had.

- The Invisibility was probably added because they couldn't turn him into mist on the floor or a cloud of smoke. IMO that's what they intended for him.

I don't know who started the whole "Yoink"(stolen from Simpsons) thing for Smoke, but it's usually pretty funny. It's just an exaggeration of his apparent move theft. The same way Sub-Zero always makes ice cream in people's comics.

What I don't get is how the Reptile puns got started.

Its probably because Smoke ALWAYS steals or "Borrows" other characters

UMK3:Classic Smoke stole ALL of Scorpions moves,combos,looks,etc.

The joke is that Smoke always steals from other sources.Go read Bezous
