Except MK1, MK1 would be the best on PC if it's a part of Midway Arcade Treasures... (Was MK1 in that one?) Or the bonus DVD on Deception.
UMK3 would be best on Saturn. Except, you probably wouldn't find that around, so SNES would be best graphics wise or Genesis gameplay wise.

Well this is for me right?
And I will not put MAME on this thing.
MK1 - Playstation 2 version that came with MKD
MK2 - Midway Arcade Treasures 2 - but SNES version was my favorite for a long long time.
MK3 - Playstation One version
MK4 - Nintendo 64 was great
MK Gold - Dreamcast - Only... Oh elder God.
MKDA - guess PS2, because never see the other 2
MKD - probably Gamecube because Kahn and Goro

I still think MK1 was best on the Amiga. Go to mobygames, there's one screenshot and you can check out the back of the box art as well to see the graphics. Amiga had superior sound at the time as well. I'd like to get some clarification on this, but seems no one has both Amiga MK1 and an Amiga to play it on anymore...
Not counting MKD collectors MK1 btw, just the original home versions.

MK1 - Sega Gen was probably the best until recent arcade quality releases.
MK2 - Super NES version was probably the best all round until the arcade quality releases. It's also good to note that the gen version of mk2 was a little faster because they removed many frames of animations to speed things up a bit which made the gameplay a little better. Unfortunately, the soundtrack and colours were pretty bad.
MK3 - Playstation was a close to arcade perfect port of MK3.
UMK3 - Sega Saturn again like mk3 for the playstation UMK3 on the Saturn was the closest arcade translation of that game to a home system.
MKT - Saturn / Playstation were both pretty good the N64 version was pure crap.
MK4 - Nintendo 64
MKG - Dreamcast...it wasn't released for any other systems so yah.
MKDA - X-Box looked slightly better then the other versions.
MKD - Gamecube because they fixed a few glitches and added a couple characters.

MK1: SNES and Genesis were both pretty terrible for different reasons. Genesis and Sega CD had GOD AWFUL graphics and sounds. SNES had fantastic graphics and sounds but some terrible controls and they cut the blood. Overall I gotta go Amiga on this one, unless I can find a copy of the PC version to compare that, but I doubt its as good as Amiga.
MK2: SNES, definately. Even the 32X version was lacking in visual appeal compared to the SNES. None of the home versions seemed particularly spot on for the gameplay. I haven't spent much time with MK2 for PSX but it seems pretty terrible. And MK2 for Saturn IS terrible. How could its sound effects and music be so bad compared even to SNES?
MK3: SNES had bad gameplay, Genesis had bad everything else. Playstation was pretty terrible as well graphics-wise, but had good sound. Overall the best was the DOS version.
UMK3: Saturn UMK3 is the same engine and menus as MK3 for PSX with the gameplay tweaks of Ultimate added on so it has the same bad graphics that PSX had. SNES and Genesis seem to get worse in every way in this version, I think the main reason for that being UMK3 genesis was the same size as MK3 genesis and the same goes for SNES. They didn't add, they swapped, removing a lot to fit what they wanted in there.
Overall, I'd say outside of mame there is no good version of UMK3 around (yet).
MK4: N64. PC and PSX had horrible graphics and the gameplay was lackluster at best anyway so they didn't need to worry about getting that.
MKG: was only for DC but it seemed like they still didn't have a good version when that first version of it came out. It was mostly annoying because of the pitiful number of bugs. The later version was an improvement.

Actually SNES was the worst for the originals. I mean, it OWNED Genesis graphics wise, but gameplay was horrible on the SNES versions. It was slow and clumsy.

Well I've only played MK1 on Genesis, so maybe I shouldn't judge.
But I find the gameplay on SNES to be fine.

Gameplay in all the 16 bit versions of MK had bad gameplay compared to the arcade. There are little things about each one that are screwed up. Genesis MK3 and UMK3 are the closest in terms of gameplay duplication, but still light years away from Arcade standards. SNES had mathematically better quality graphics, animation, stages, sounds, music, etc in every version of MK they release. Take your pick.

The thing is, I loved the graphics on SNES, but the gameplay annoyed me so much, that frankly, I'd rather play Genesis. Also, the music for them... I like it better on Genesis, well not better, but it sounded a bit different. And frankly, I liked it.

Yeah I've come across a lot of people who simply "like" the Genesis musics better. It probably has something to do with what they had, maybe they were so use to the twanginess of Genesis musics in general that they were just accustomed to it. However, the Genesis version use less audio channels and are lower quality overall. I have noticed the Genesis versions tend to be more exact in terms of presentation of the music itself when it comes to tempo and beat.

There was two games that SNES messed up and that was MK1 with no blood. and Final Fight by not putting my boy Guy in the game and also the chaos of getting jumped by the Mad Gear.
Oh and the game was sadly one player.

I only have MK3 for SNES, and it works wonderfully.

MK2 and MK 3 were close to arcade on the SNES imo, they pleased me a lot lol. Those games corrupted my life when they came out.
So, I will say:
MK-SNES overall for me, Sega had the infamous blood code which SNES didn't have but button wise, gameplay wise I enjoyed my SNES version more.
MK2-SNES hands down.
MK3-SNES
UMK3-I had it for the SNES, but it was much better on the Sega Saturn imo
MK 4-N64

Ok,
I had MK1, MK2, and MK3 for SNES and they were all great. I had MK4 for PS but the N64 version was better beacuse of the graphics and gameplay. I thought that MKDA and MKD were good for PS2.

They weren't even close at all. Have you ever even played the arcade versions?

I don't understand the SNES fanboy deal. There are certain aspects to the games that you just can't argue about in terms of which is better because of baseline quality that you can measure. Liking a Genesis version over SNES makes that person a Genesis fanboy because there isn't any real reason to like it better other than owning a Genesis and not an SNES. Neither system ever had even close to arcade perfect gameplay, so then it comes down to whether you like bad sounds, graphics and music better. It's what you "like." I played an enormous amount of MK1 on Genesis before SNES and hated it. I played it on SNES and love it. I didn't own either system yet. I bought an SNES for MK1 and WWF Royal Rumble by selling all my non first series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at a flea market with my granmother making about $150. Then I played MKII on Genesis and was insulted. I played it on SNES and had to have it. A friend of mine from highschool, at the time it was freshman year, only had Genesis. I made him a tape of MKII on SNES and he was floored. He got MK3 for Genesis and thought it was amazing, "Finally they got it right." I made him a tape of SNES MK3 and he was once again, nearly embarrassed at the Genesis version.

MK2 and 3 on the SNES are both alright...but they are not even remotely close to the arcade version which is what has me confused.
