hi, i've only played, and bought DA, D, SM, 2 because of SM, and A. I now, for some reason, want to play the old games. Which ones are worth buying? I'm pretty sure Trilogy is awesome, because on posts where people are asked their fav MK game a lot of people say Trilogy is their fav. I'm also including 4 as a old one.(Note:i have a N64, but it doesn't work, but i do have a ps2.also, i can't get Gold because i don't have a Dreamcast.)

please reply, and say why.grin since i can see no one will answer my Q, someone please this. I'm not mad, though.sad

Get midway arcade tresures and you will have a near perfect port of MK2and MK3 (pretty glitchy but still is playable)

and trilogy glitches on the PS2 when you beat it, I believe it freezes or something when you select a reward or something.
But I have to admit, UMK3 and trilogy are HARD AS HELL... you are better off playing 2 player mode in those games....

MK4 is pretty good, one of the best IMO get that instead if you wish.

I agree. I only play UMK 3/MK Trilogy with a friend. If I'm playing single player, I usually play the PlayStation version of MK 3.

I wouldn't so much say that UMK 3 and Trilogy are HARD AS HELL, so much as they are CHEAP AS HELL. In order to survive past the third fight you have to basically 'out cheap' the computer, which really isn't all that fun at all.

I can still play MK 3 and make it all the way up to Motaro without dieing. I might use a continue or two on him and Shao Kahn though.

UMK3 is the best old MK game, bar none. But the console versions are pretty bad - so maybe just stick with MKT for PS2.
