What I don't understand is why all the fuss about Mileena, Sindel, Jade, Kitana.

They could dress all the characters in full on clothes but whats the point? They're made to look sexy, or appealing and still stylish. Padding ain't sexy, appealing or stylish (and quite frankly I hate the idea of armour on these warriors, male or female, they're the best martial artists in the universe, armour takes the fun out of it)

I see no real point in covering up polygon models that don't have nipples or vaginas. Just millions of different polygons pieced together to represent an appealing shape. I love the outfits they have made for the characters and I don't care if they show alot of skin. To be honest sex sells and it works for these characters cause they're pretty much sexless. The body is beautiful and the world is far too prudish...

-you really don't understand anything about combat then. No matter how good, or exaggerated it is, when you are hit by a mace, you go down, when you are hit by a sword, you bleed, nothing else happens, you're hurt if there isn't anything. Wether you dislike it, it really doesn't changes the facts (yes, exaggerations are calculated too).

Almost every martial art globally has exalted armour and armanents in their little world, save for those of extreme climate, then again, in extreme climate (not weather) armanents are lessened too apropiately.

Stylish? I don't see how a whored out female can look atractive besides instinct. Meh, there are far more better and more reknowned females that DIDN'T had to look like whores to be considered as good and atractive.

But who cares, MK is going to fail again, then there won't be another parade of ill-dressed virtual personas on our screens.

The Mk girls don't look tough or sexy, they just look like pantomime whores.
I'm not so sure about them wearing armour, as this may result in Soul Calibur with blood(Yeah, like the Mk engine is ever going to get as good as SC). At the very least some padded clothing of somesorts would be required.

The Mileena argument doesn't really work for me, since if you want Kitana to dress properly, then by extension - seeing as Mileena is supposed to impersonate our lovey kitty - she must maintain a similar look.

Anyway, I want Mileena to finish the job and kill Kitana soon, but that is irrelevant to this disscussion, except...
...For the fact of Kitana being killed allowing Mileena to wear all the dirty costumes you want her to.

I don't mind "sexy" looks, but only where they are appropriate.

Since it is back, I'm going to add my 2 cents

I tend to disagree with most of Keith has been saying, and I'm a girl.

I like how Mortal Kombat allows for skin and violence and sexuality. Of course the game isn't going to be realistic with regards to say Mileena getting hit with a mace, or Kira stabbed with hookswords...but thats just some of the appeal to mk for me. The ability to play with some sensuous charactors in very violent actions.

Regardless, the hottest chick in MK to me is currently Kira...both attires in MKD are smokin

Kira looks kind of good overall, although to me, they messed up her face in terms of the in-game graphics. I personally prefer her alternate costume look.

Kitana's got to be the hottest, as she has the best body, including the large breasts. I like her MK:DA kata, as it shows just how nice and curvy her body is.
Kira's costumes make her look fantastic, and I like her hair cut in her alternate costume, so she's wonderful as well.
The tie lies between Kitana and Kira.
