To me is Liu Kang. See Shao Kahn trading card video. It says "however he was defeated by the Shaolin Monk Liu Kang"

Since there is no final battle after MK2 because Kahn's plan to ressurrect Sindel, I guess they are talk about MK3 in it.

According to Raiden's speech in the MK4 intro, Kahn was defeated at the hands of Earth's mortals – there was no single winner, but rather, Kahn faced multiple opponents at one time.

The MK plot FAQ explains that either Liu Kang or Raiden defeated Shao Kahn himself during the Earthrealm invasion. And with the new info in Kahn's MKD bio, plus references to Liu's FOUR MK victories, it is most likely Liu Kang.

Raiden's MK4 speech was probably referring to the handful of good guys up against Kahn's army, rather than all taking the emperor himself on. Kahn defeated Kung Lao (which was originally meant to be Kung Lao's death), killed Rain (explained in Rain's ending, a failed suicide attack by Rain) and either Kahn or one of his minions defeated Scorpion, and banished him back to the Netherrealm.

Liu Kang.

In MK: Deception, Liu Kang's tomb stage clearly shows Liu Kang has four Mortal Kombat victories, meaning he did actually defeat all the menaces up until MK:DA.

Liu won MK1, No one fought Kahn in MK2, Kahn was defeated and attacked from all sides by every Earth realm warrior after Sindels betrayal enabled Kahn to be vulnerable to defeat, Raiden won MK4 cuz he was the only one capable of killing Shinnok.

Wrong, Liu Kang won MK1-4. His tomb background explains that he had medallions representing his 4 Mortal Kombat victories. That is clear proof that Liu Kang won MK1-4.

That doesn't mean he clearly won all of them. It could also mean he has fought and beaten most warriors during those events andf made the best effort. And Shaolin Monks makes it very Clear Kahn never fought in MK2.

Don't go by that. MK2 wasn't played out to the end. It turned out to be a trap and Kang and friends ran away, nobody won they just survived. in fact in MK3 and on, there were no winners, only suviviors. there was no tournament, only war and chaos.
