i can beat mk deception on hard mode no problem without even getting killed once, yet i still cant beat one damn round of mkII. And mk 3 is just retarded hard. Did they do this on purpose?how do you guys beat the old games? ive been playing mk 1 since i was 6 and i still cant freaking beat it!!

Back then the programming wasn't as good, so there were some cheap things about alot of old games, for example, the would pick certain moves for a difficulty for a game(MK2 for example) and give them moves they would use ALOT.They couldn't find a way to give them random(but not stupid) tactics till now.

Probably because they were originally meant for the arcades and not the home consoles. I find it that arcade games are harder than console games and they should be. A person wants to beat Mortal Kombat and then loses along the way so he has to buy himself another shot to continue and finish the game. It was all about the quarters.

They are not hard. They just have stupid AI because they are fighting games which are designed to be played by 2 people, not 1 person vs the computer. Later MK games focused more on 1 player games, so they have conquest modes mini games and bad gameplay. Because you don't need good gameplay when you are just fighting the computer.

MK1 is easy as hell. I can beat that game without dying once. The hardest guy in the game is Goro and he isn't even that hard. Shang Tsung is a joke.
MK2 is tough. Kintaro is one of the hardest bosses in MK history. He is much tougher than Goro and has more variety in moves. On top of that, Tsung and Kahn are hard too.
MK3 isn't bad. Motaro is easy to beat, but Kahn is really hard. The regular characters you fight before the bosses are harder in this game then they were in the previous two.
UMK same as MK3.
MK4 also isn't bad.
MK Trilogy is tough because you got to learn the computers technique. Once you figure out all the computer does is charge at you and hit 6 combo moves.
MKDA: Easy
MK Deception: Very easy. Onaga is a joke.
Overall the hardest game is MK2. Tsung, Kintaro, and Kahn are all very hard.
