That the W in wavenet stands for Williams, didn't they do the PSX MK3?

So anyone know how and why they got into this net Arcade Umk3 scene?

Not enough is mentioned/known about Wavenet Umk3, it's one of those MK rarities...

umk3 for 360 will not be wavenet it will be the latest arcade revision of umk3, theres no point in releasing a rare mk such as that on such a mainstream console, also the d pad for umk3360 will suck big time it has the angles on it unlike the ps2 pad i noticed when using it i hit up or back and it goes diagonal i am making the prediction right now that hardcore mk fans will be disapointed on a positive note all th online 360 games use the mic and u will be able to talk during the matches

Actualy, wavenet sounds pretty good. Somewhere people were saying that the ps3 might do the same thing but with trilogy, a balanced trilogy... I'd rather they don't remake it AGAIN! Too many versions already. But for UMK3, they would have to be a lot less changes for it to be balanced, or atleast balanced enough... Wavenet sounds perfect! As long as the kung lao spin infinite is taken out, I'm cool.

The only reason for Wavenet is to include a playable Noob Saibot, so maybe they modded the X360 game to have Noob Saibot it it.

Williams published some of the MK3 ports because they were Midway. Midway and Bally were divisions of Williams.

That'd be hot if they redid Trilogy, but ya know, I really don't need to spend $700-$800 on two systems.

Not to mention the other game balancing tweaks they did in Wavenet...

Anyone have any Playable Noob Saibot videos from wavenet?

I heard you select Kano and do the button combination and you turn into noob saibot which is kano just faster and all black.

Same button combination as you do when you pick robot smoke and turn into human smoke.

Id love to see this in game play. Would be sweet if there was a ROM drop of this game for MAME.

To answer your question, it was a similar button combo (select Kano, then press and hold HP+LP+HK+LK+Back before Shao Kahn announces "FIGHT!"). He does not look like a black Kano, he looks like a ninja, but he only has his Teleport Slam to use (no Shadow Throw or Shadow Ball).
