Why? does Mortal Kombat Trilogy for PC look twice as pixelated as the Sega Genesis Version?

Its easy, the resolution of MK Trilogy, is 320x240 this resolution looks fine on a TV Screen, but on a PC Monitor the Pixels are shown to Sharp so that it looks just bad.
If you have a Graphic Card that has a TV Output try it over your TV, you will see that it looks better because the TV dont show that pixels sharp and perfectly. For most of emulators there are filters that emulating this TV Look because this low resolutions looks generell bad on PC Monitors.
And because Midway dont wanted to make to much work there just used this resolution too for PC, it would be very hard to redraw the completet game to 640X480

Yeah it's definitely the card or the computer's age, but even with the pixelated look, it's still better than Sega's lol. Graphics cards in a lot of cases have a blitter called bilinear filtering, which acts almost like TV scanlines, but they aren't there, it smooths the appearance of the screen to eliminate the blockiness. MKT's res is not 320X240, it's 352X288 I think, which is closer to TV res and why it looks good on a TV and not a computer monitor, and squashing it down to 320X240 would then make it look good when using square pixels (PC monitor) vs rectangular (TV), I use to have to do that with Capcom games on my old comp because the correct aspect ratio didn't look right, as my card didn't have bilinear filtering, my new one does, and everything looks perfect.

Thanks, funny I have a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
, no worries though I just got rid of my copy for PC and plan to buy a playstation+MKT soon.
P.S. Who doesn't have a video card that can't run Mortal Kombat Trilogy nowadays guys come on! Even your grandmas do. P.P.S. Hell at 352X288 was there ever a card that couldn't run this game lol.

Well, the PC version of MKT is an exact port of MKT for PSX, and older video cards without bilinear filtering make the graphics looks chipped and distorted.

I don't like playing MK for the PC. The controls are strange, I like controllers. If your problem wasn't already answered, I couldn't give any help to it..
