Why fight?
Hi. I just don't understand the fighting in every mortal kmbat since mk4. Why fight?! Why not take a gun and blast everyone away? Why doesn't Shinnok, the deadly alliance and the dragon king just send an army to kill all? I don't understand the tournament type battles. Please help.

Because....it's a fighting game.

It's because of the wizards. Wizards prevent people from dying at the hands of modern weapons in the Mortal Kombat world. Whenever you notice something like that, a wizard did it.
We don't need to do that anymore because mods can move threads to different forums themselves, so it's best to let them do that than have the person manually go and start another thread in the right forum, then have their original thread in the wrong forum closed, like the olden days when everything was in black'n'white.

Thank you for that insight. I hadn't noticed. I still believe it's the best fighting game ever and has the best storyline ever, I just want some depth in the story. Shouldn't they create a reason to fight? Like keeping portals open for the armee or something. If they're not bound by the old rules, why still folow them?

hehe, lets not forgot Stryker in MKT.Although that move helped him out, gave him a lot more opportunities in the game then before.

I'll move this to the Classic forum since that's where it belongs.
