Probably is these 2 newcomers in MK4. They have no interesting story, moves and Fatalities. Jarek and Kai. Worst than ever.

There's a few contenders, but in my opinion, the absoloute worst of the worst is Kobra.

Take Street Fighter hero Ken Masters, recolour his outfit, then give him the role of "killable evil goon". How this prick made it into the lineup over much cooler new MKD designs like the Undead General is beyond me. Did they spend more than 5 minutes designing him?

In certain cases I can forgive one hit wonder characters, but not here. Even Jarek, Tanya and Hsu Hao had more relevance to what was going on in MK than this loser, who's just some random dickhead who likes to hurt people for a giggle. MKD didn't need him around, the only worthwhile thing he's involved in is being killed by Kira. At least with him being a one game filler, we're very unlikely to ever see him again.

I'm assuming Mokap does not count, since he was designed purely for a joke.

MK4 was the worst character ever.

Hotaru, Dairou, Havik> Darrius, Kobra, Kira > Reiko, Jarek, Kai > Meat, Rain

that does justice in terms of complexity.
