Im probably the only one to say liu kang sucks. hes way too over rated

i also think kano is the worst charcter. rain is my favorite of characters of the classic games.

I don't quite get the Kano hatin'. He is actually a very useable character. Simple pop up, he has the grab and shake, the upward ball, the blades, all are useful. Air throw is always a boon. It's been a while since I played but I think I liked his roundhouse quite a bit too. You could definately do worse (cough...scorpion...cough)

Well I rate Kitana higher than Jade... I've seen Kitana used very expertly on mame (I think it was thrower) and I was pretty surprised, cus I always thought she sucked ass. BUT you have to be very good to use her well imo, so she remains low in my book. Jade, despite being one of the CPU's most deadly characters, is pretty crappy for regular live play in umk3 (imo). As Dreemer said, no pop-up (why would they balance her by making her super cheesy for the CPU instead of giving her a pop-up?) and besides the Shadow Kick, her boomerrangs aren't too useful against good players. She is fast, but her lack of easy / good ground combos, pretty weak projectiles and no pop-up really hurt her. However, if you master the flashy thing, you're laughing. Really I should have switched Kitana's name w/ Jade's in that list, but I may be wrong - those reviews are just my opinion from what I've experienced, I don't know the real tier listings (though I do know Sub is NOT last in UMK3/MKT, despite what the official tier's say)...

Yeah I have never heard any reasoning behind Sub being last place and I haven't seen anything to suggest that he is. Yet, people seem to insist it. Weird.

Kano is #4, and for whatever reason that is still unproven to me, Sub-zero is ranked #23. I just don't see how Sheeva or Shang Tsung can out play him if he's used to his highest level vs theirs.

Isnt Sub-Zero top tier in Mk3?

Sub Zero is some kind of monster in MK3. That Ice Clone was designed to be broken. But, when they took away the brokenness of the ice clone in UMK3 it knocked him down a few pegs.

LOL @ a few pegs Mike. To be precise, by limiting the iceclone to a range attack/containment, it moves him from #1 of 15, to #23 of 23! lol
