Nothing big, just wondering something. Did the Ermac rumor start before or after MKII was released?

I believe it was before MK II. After all, Ermac is based on an MK 1 glitch.

He means, was MK2 released after the Ermac glitch surfaced? It was what, October when the glitch was first mentioned, and November when the first released version of MK2 came out, and there was no mention of the Ermac Does Not Exist yet in the ending because there was no dramatic ending with hidden messages like that in the game yet. They added that later. So, a couple months after the rumor starts, and the game is released and gradually updated, even with added animation and music changes, giving Shao Kahn sounds, that the message Ermac does not exist is added to the game.
