lol can't believe yas didn't know about that. The MK3 musics are slower than the arcade versions, MK3 for PC has the best quality and most accurate musics.

My MKT for the PC doesn't work (all the patches and crap) so I use it to listen to the tunes.

^^ What he said. Everyone knows the earlier PSOne games had redbook audio playable on CD players. Shit, when I bought Trilogy last year I listened to it in my car stereo on the way home before I got to play it.

Lucky me, I also have the MK3 PC CD-Rom. It does have the best music.

Also while you're playing MK Trilogy on PSX/PS2, you can take out the game and put in a music CD. Music will play the next round. What track plays depends on the level. Oh, and be sure to only use this on a Round 1 Battle and put back the game CD when the match is over.

Damn, wish I still had my PC MK3 disc. Anyone remember those whack bonus tracks on it? And it also had music from UMK3.

Oh well, at least I have PC and PS1 Trilogy.

There were no new musics in UMK3 that were already in MK3.

That extra track was funny though at the end. I believe they used it for the credits.

What about the song used in the UMK3 intro? I didn't think that was in orignal MK3, but I could be wrong. When I first heard it on the MK3 disc, I had no idea what it was (at the time, I hadn't seen UMK3 in the arcades yet).

i think all the music for the new stages in umk3 were in fact mk3 music (i know jade's desert and the waterfront has mk3 music). but almost all ps1 games worked in a cd player. the saturn was able to play the game tracks in its cd player (i know because i listened to the music used in the trilogy credits alot).

Yes, the new STAGES in UMK3 all used music straight out of the original MK3. Jade's Desert had the Bank theme, I think the waterfront used The Subway, and I'm pretty sure Hell and Khan's Throne used the Pit 3's song.

But the song used the attract mode intro was new. At least I'm pretty sure it was. That's the one I was referring to on the PC MK3 disc. Then it was followed by some backwards nursery rhymes on the next track. lol, at the time I had no idea you could just rip music to a computer and edit it. I actually recorded that track to tape, then had my dad help me open up the cassette and physically flip over the magnetic tape. We put the cassette back together and played it, and then I could finally hear what they were saying.

Jade's Desert's assigned music is the Rooftop/Shao Kahn's Tower music. The reason why you hear the Bank's music later on in the game is because the Bank was removed from the line up because of what we think is due to how things were loaded, but not positive. The Bank's music is still used though.

The intro music is a good question, it was most likely made for, and intended to be, but not used in MK3 since it's on the SNES and PC versions, and the Genesis version's sound test has two empty spots where the musics are, which could be the intro music and it's ending, which for some reason they used the Soul Chamber's in UMK3 arcade even though it has it's own, but we'll never really know. The fact that it is not used and still there is strange, kinda like the Bank still being there but not used in UMK3.
