I honestly don't care who the 4 are, chances are it'll be someone we've seen Sub, Scorp, Supes, Bats, Flash or Sonya....I'm sure 3 of these will most likely be picked or at least 2 of them.

Either way, I'll be looking forward to it

But yes, I understand the irritation. It is understandable that they would get promoted being the only confirmed characters a few days ago, but that’s why its important to create a balance. They are no longer the only known characters, so please give us a breath of fresh air. That balance of which I speak was broken after MK4 with Scorpion and Sub-Zero being everywhere when there was a cast of over 20 characters to be able to choose from for promotion...not just those two. I mean, during mkda New characters barely got over 2 renders, from the classics (beside the ninjas) only Rayden stood out and Sonya was given her share of light, but that was it. oH! And the deadly alliance of course, and not even them got enough.

Whatever though. I just wish they would be more balanced with that.

Time to see Flash and Wonderwoman (who is almost 100% in) kick butt.

Time to see Sonya and Rayden (who is almost 100% in) do her skills as well.

About the "Scorpion VS Superman" but, lol. Not anymore. But I did accept the game rather quickly and always kept an open mind about it despite wanting a real mk like everyone else, so maybe that's why it hasnt been that difficult. I love the way this game looks, smells and I love the potential I see it has.

I'm getting sick of these four as well. Theres other characters you can use to promote this game. I like how they used Mileena and Baraka to promote MKD, that was different.

Got be honest, hearing there were only going to be 4 characters killed all my excitement for E3.

Especially when its the same stinky characters we've been seeing for three months.

sup, bat, scorpion and sub- zero because they are the most iconics.
show the 2 ninjas is a tradition or a trade mark whatever you wanna call it. we have to get used to that.
and superman and batman are the " world's finest super heroes"

they worked more on those characters thinking in E3, perhaps sonya and flash will not be ready or not are that representative and impact will be bigger in gaming world with those 4.
they dont have much yet and u have to show your best, thats how playable demos works.

If Noob makes it into this game and Smoke doesn't, I will actually buy a katana and pull a Kill-Bill at Midway's Chicago headquarters.

I'll wear a yellow/black outfit...you guys can go dressed as "The Brides" , and while we are at it, we find out if Sonya's got her Leg Grab back, if not, the torture will most definitely be sweetier.

But yeah, I just dont see Nobb Saibot making it....but Temp, I find it funny you didnt count Sonya as an obvious choice (come on, everyone guessed her, one of the main icons) but expect Smoke to make it. Dont get me wrong, you know I like Smoke (robot Smoke all the way, though!)...but he just isnt as recognizable and memorable as other of the obvious guys.



I 100% agree. It did feel kind of "bleh/yawn" to know that.

Oh, of course Smoke is not going to make it in. Nor am I saying he is Iconic, but I am saying that putting Noob in over Smoke would be a sick irony.

And I'm not saying Sonya is not Iconic (although in number of games, Reptile has her beat), I'm saying that more than three characters from MKI is tiresome. MK has always been a long-winding series with unique sections throughout: it doesn't make sense to draw characters from just one part of it.

And although I didn't mention this in my previous posts, I still stand by the fact that iconicness is a weak standard for character selection. The people who support this game are mostly ongoing fans; if that's the case, there really is no such thing as unrecognizable character, especially in regards to MK1-3. People who didn't follow the franchise remember Sonya not from the games, but the movies.
