Dude...a HUGE amount of games use the unreal engine. Do they all look dark and gritty? No. You make it that way yourself. Does Lost Odyessey look dark and gritty? Does it even have good graphics? No. It's how much power you use from the engine. If you go on the unreal engine's website, it shows a list of games that use the engine. You'll shit your pants with the amount of games you didn't even know use it.

Boon said he was inspired by the look of Gears of War. How it was dark and gritty and he wants the new MK to look like that, and that they are also using the same engine. I mean, at this point in gaming, if the MK team wasn't using the engine I'd be asking them wtf they were thinking.

The very first fact we knew about MK 8 was that it was going to use the unreal engine. I wasnt arguing to MK-Lucifer that MK 8 wasnt using UE3, im saying that Boon's reference to Gears of War was in relation to the game, and not the engine.

In other words Boon didnt say he liked the look of Unreal Engine games, because there are tons on different games and genres using that engine. He was specifically talking about Gears of War, and its art style.

Don't get me wrong, if Jax returns, he better be going to to his old roots "no bionic crap". If not, most likely he will become a cyborg or just literally die. MK does not need any of those organizations period. The reason is because, the MK writer cannot really write the characters story's right in terms of organization rivalries. Ok here goes,I know a few people in the games buisness,Paul Hollywood who is lead artist at evolution studios in runcorn england.
He has worked on motorstorm and its sequel,I knew motorstorm was being worked on about a year before the ps3 even came out,speak to paul every two weeks or so sound bloke.
Anyway John Doe is a reviewer who knows paul very well,John has worked for lots of magazines edge,gamesmaster,official ps2 mag ect.
Hes been doing his job for a very long time even had a column on gamespot a few years ago.
Hes interviewed dave perry at shiny,John carmark at id,gabe newall at valve and yes ed boon on more than one occasion.
He still says his best was meeting hideo kojima a few years ago at the tokyo games show. People get paid to write about future games and to interview the people who work on them. Heres a secret that will explain a few things for you,If you want breaking info fast dont use ign or gamespot these sites have info to print but due to developer embaro cant print.

I don't understand the relation about Paul Hollywood and John Doe, and the fact that he interviewed people of the gaming industry in the past. Yes, surely he's a important reviewer... but this isn't a proof that you really know info for him.

And about Motorstom, everyone knew about the game a year before the ps3 even (E3 2005). And the fact that you knew a person in the gaming world, isn't a proof that you can also know a reviewer that he know info about MK8.

This is only a "I-know-important-persons-post" but not a "proof-or-facts-post". We want the second type.
