A new look for scorpion

I know ive said this before but since scorpion knows sub-zero is not the killer of his family should he drop the yellow cowardice ninja suit he wore to mock sub. If he did it would be cool to see him in a japanese-esqu samurai outfit at least as an alternative outfit. is this kinda change too drastic? what do you think he should look like?

i think his outfit is a mock up of the old lin kuei grandmaster and what the clan stood for, but subby has taken the lin kuei in a new direction and reformed a new clan. scorpion is still allowed to show his hatred for the old lin kuei though.

I know for fact he wore that golden ninja suit long before he even met Subzero, so either he was mocking the clan long before his death, or that information wasn't Canon.

I have never played Mythologies, So I have a question: Is Scorpion still alive in that game? Or is he a spectre? Was this Subs and Scorps first meeting in this game? Sorry for sounding dumb but I haven't played either of the "non" fighting MK's. As for the thread: I like Scorps look as it is now.

I thought the Shyrai Ryu(sp?) was started by former Lin Kuei member.He hated the Lin Kuei and left them.If thats true,then mabye they always wore yellow to mock the Lin Kuei.

Scorpion appears as both.. sometimes. Meaning, yes he is alive in the game but only in the begining, when you try to steal the sacred map of elements for the Lin Kuei (later you learn it was Quan Chi who hired you for your services, and Zero gets ticked to say the least). Hanzo Hasashi is there with the same agenda on stealing the map and you two face off at the end of the level as you are from rival clans. If you perform the spine rip fatality on him after you beat him, you later face him as a spectre in the Netherealm when you go after the amulet for Raiden. So yes its their first meeting and hes both dead and alive in Mythologies.

I played and liked mortal kombat mythologies, and yeah, Scorp is alive in the beginning. The first level of the game is Subzero trying to complete a mission, but if my memory serves correctly, Scorpion was on the same quest. They eventually met up at the end, and they fought over who got the elements map. Subzero won, but that goes without saying. Subzero figured out that it was a setup, and he returned to the clan to yell and bitch at Quan Chi for forcing him to kill Scorpion.

Thanks. I think I'll have to play this game now. As long as it's no the dissapointment that SF was.

im pretty sure left the lin kuei cause got pissed at their ways... started clan wore yellow to mock them.... way before met subzero... then he was killed clan was killed family was killed but he still wears it....

Scorpion is actual Hanzo Hasashi!He wore than suit before he even knew about the lin kue.What happened was Shinnok said that Sub-Zero killed his family aand Scorpion would get to see his family if Shinnok sent him to the Netherealm instead he gave him nightmares of his family.Scorpion went to kill Sub-Zero for revenge and then to kill Shinnok for betraying him.But Scorpion was sent back to the Netherealm because of Sub-Zero.Well the only two that could beat Shinnokwas him and Sub-Zero when Scorpion beat Sub-Zero Shinnok told Scorpion that he killed his family.So when Sub-Zero died Shinnok sent Scorpion back to the Netherealm.But before he went he took Shinnok with him!

I love the way Scorpion looks right now, i read something about an alternate samurai costume, personally i think that is wack idea, because Scorpion is not a samurai.

I've recentley discovered that Ol' Scorpy boy is BY FAR
The most popular MK fighter, and I think it's because
He has never really changed after all these years.
These days sub-zero and reptile are stripping off, and I
hope that skorps keeps his clothes ON.

I haven't played Mythologies so I'm not sure what the true meaning of his color means but he did have a different color in MK4. As for a new look, maybe his mask would be torn and you could see part of his skull. Or better yet, he can have his human face again. He can keep the spike vest and gauntlets but the rest needs to change. His fists can be broken with green light shining through. His body suit should be something like Ryu Hayabusa's outfit in Ninja Giaden. I don't know, it's just a vague idea. I can't really picture any different than he is.

Actual Reptile had a curse put on him by I think Shang Tsung but it mayu have been Shoa Kanh,But it turned hi sentire race into Reptile people.
and well Sub-Zero was changed because they did'nt want all of the nijas to look the same.smile

I liked him going to gold. I mean his beef with Sub-Zero ended after MK4 so I thought Gold was perfect for him in MKDA. I'm kinda dissapointed he's going back to yellow in Deception. And as far as him looking anything like a Samurai is a horrible idea. He's a ninja, the only true ninja in MK and to have him wear anything Samurai like would be stupid and lame since Samurai and Ninja are natural enemies. At least in real Japanese history they were.

Yeah I know, but one of the cool things about MK is they used some historical facts mixed with fantasy. It's been said in past interviews that the Lin Kuei was the first ninja like clan according to the history and research that Boon or Tobias did. They were also Chinese. They took a historical fact or truth and expanded on it. That's why in my opinion making Scorpion in any way a Samurai is lame because he's a Japanese ninja. And Ninja and Samarai are natural enemies because Samurai's felt that Ninja's had no honor because they sneak up on people they kill while Samurai do not.
