A thought on the Arcade perfect port of MK1, and Ermac

Okay, so I was just reading some old "Does Ermac Exist in MK1" threads, and I got to thinking.
Now personally, I don't have a damn clue, and I'm not gonna pretend I do. I personally don't care. But I do know, that with this "Arcade Perfect" port we'll be getting, there will probably be more people playing MK1 across the country then there have been in friggin' years, so I'm here to say, get your damn VCR's ready. That's it.
Now I am NOT here to say Ermac exists, so please don't start up that argument on me, all I'm saying is... lotsa people will be playing. Make sure your damn VCRs are on, cause if hell freezes over and someone does see him, I don't want a thread that says, "OMFG! I SAW ERMAC! BUT I HAVE NO PROOF!" in two months.
So thats it man. Just get your VCRs ready is all I have to say. You never know.
EDIT: Oh, and I really wasn't sure where to post this, since its kindof an MK1 thing, but since it comes with MKD it's knid of an MKD thing, so I eventually decided on putting it here, since the version of MK1 I'm refering to can only be obtained, and thus directly ties in with MKD anyway. Sorry if I was incorrect in doing so.

ER. MAC exists as an error in Mortal Kombat 1 and was brought into Mortal Kombat 3 as an in-joke.
The character does not exist in mortal kombat one. I have extracted every sprite, sound, bitmap, and line of code from the arcade ROM and Ermac is nowhere.

Technically he isnt in there, since he is a glitch and wasnt programmed in. They never intended to create him, he is a self made character in some sense, lol. But he is in mk...through glitch.

The notion of a red ninja in MK1 of any kind is almost certainly nothing more than an urban legend. Most fans take it as fact and will insist it's real, but you'll never see any proof or back up. The only shred of evidence he exists is a very vague interview from Ed Boon and a shady picture and story from EGM. It's been over 10 years and no one has ever found a way to reproduce the glitch or taken any clear pictures or any other kind of documentation. I don't care how "rare" it supposedly is, that's just ridiculous. It's been a decade.
Anyway, as for MAT2...it will probably be based on the final revision, T-Unit 5.0. If that's the case he wouldn't be in it at all. Whatever "ermacs" was in MK1 it was removed when they switched to T-Unit hardware.

The game literally created its own character and only the die-hard MK fans embraced him. I'm glad he's a character. Through that simple glitch, One of the greatest MK characters of all time was given birth!
But Ermac's UMK3 bio stated that he WAS in MK1 (even though that was a cover, lol). So i wonder if they will add him to the arcade perfect edition in order to make ends meet?
P.S. I encountered the ERMAC glitch when i was 7. Though it didn't work out like the stories claimed.

My friend also told me bout Reptile being in the game along with soembody called RaidTile. It was someone else too but i forgot. He has pics so I'll post them, if somebody tells me how to post pics on here.

There is no raidtile.Just reptile and that is it for mk1.Anything else is just a rumor(if we are speaking of the arcade version of course).ERMAC also known as error macro is just that,untill Umk3 came out anyways.

There was a Raidtile, along with a Sonya-tile and so on. It was basically a screwed up looking Raiden or Reptile doing someone else's moves and screwed up finisher. Basically, that's it. MK1 was full of glitches.

I'm 'scavms' from IGN...
Anyways, the port we get of MK1 is going to be a perfect port of the latest Arcade software of MK1 I would guess. If the 'Ermac' glitches were in early versions of the MK hardware/software, then I would guess Ermac will not be in the home MK1 port.

This thread wasn't intended to debate whether or not Ermac does or doesn't exist in MK1. I'm fully aware that half the MK community thinks he does, and half thinks he doesn't, thats not my issue!
It was just intended to give everyone a big reminder to cover their butts, because if, I repeat, IF he does exist, and someone does see him, I don't want any stupid shady threads that say they saw him but can't prove it.
Once again, this is not a debate about the validity of Ermac's existance. Its just a heads up, turn on your VCRs, cause as I said, if hell freezes over, and in 3 weeks you see Ermac, I want some bloody friggin proof this time.
And then, 3 weeks from now, we can argue about his existance til the cows come home.

But a screenshot was already taken and printed in egm. I also remember seeing website with screenies of raidtile, sonyatile, etc. Because of the version update, they wont be in the collectors pack mk1.

he does.. since i have an actual mk1 arcade.. hmm unless they are going to do an arcade perfect port of the version 4.0 arcade.. then it might be possible to do an ermac... otherwise they might even make it easier to get it... then again this is midway.. they probley just take him out.. btw the version 4.0 arcade says how many ermacs you'v encountered in the arcade settings..

That pic in EGM was a fake. Ermac never existed even as a glitch. People saw in the adudits menu ERror MACro and then made up the silly rumor. No glitch, no Ermac or Red Scorpion was ever in MK1.

Nice try, but I have actually seen Ermac though...in-game. I however have never seen raidtile, sonyatile etc.

Didn't they do this in MK2 too, probably as a joke. I remember in a super old edition of Gamepro that had an fighter's edge on MK2 fatalities they mentioned Tanya's name being on the ROM. I'm guessing that's how Tanya came to be eventually.
