I think a thread was opened a while but i don't find it. So here my question.

What kind of music/groups do you like to see in game?

For me i think Heavy Metal is the best to this game. No rap, hip-hop or things like that.

What about bands like: Crematory, TSOL, Gluecifer, Disturbed, BioHazard, System of a Down, Thyrfing?????
Or a more gothic way like Love Like Blood, Ikon, Evereve, Xymox.

Tell what you think the game music shoul be.

I think they need a more techno feel of music like in Konquest.. that rocked to see them fight on that..

Instrumental music done by none other than Marilyn Manson and Trent Reznor. No lyrics and no heavy metal just dark, gothic, ambient music that truly reflects the hopeless nature of the MK universe.

While metal will be in my blood, brain, and soul until the day I die, I must say that I would prefer the type of music from the older MKs rather than what we got it DA.

* The character selection screen music was absolutely horrible IMO. It just didn't feel like Mortal Kombat to me.

But, if only for the snowball's chance in hell that they actually put existing bands into the game, I'd go with some...

I think industrial fits Mortal Kombat much more than heavy metal. Thats why we need Nine Inch Nails (aka Trent Reznor) to make some music for this game , because they are releasing an album this fall and could benefit from an opportunity like this. They'd be happy and I'd be happy. smile

anyway, i want mkd to allow us to upload songs, and i'd pick heavy metal...like iron maiden,judas priest,testament,black label society,slavery,black sabbath ect ect

you HAVE to keep it heavy metal themed. They went with adema in DA now i think they should go with a Disturbed or KoRn. This would make for some really great music in the konquest mode to keep me up for days at a time. Later!

I like that, only I'd add maybe a few guitars. I think MK should have the same technoorganic sound as Godflesh, Scorn, and maybe the later works of Skinny Puppy.

Some really dark gothic music would work perfectly for MKD. A bit of a darker toned classical music would also be cool.

Anyone remember the Battle of the Fates music from SW Episode 1? It's the music that plays in the fight between Obi-Wan, Qui-Gonn and Darth Maul. Something like that but maybe darker would be great. And a mix of the music from the Matrix Reloaded fights would be sweet. Or something similar would be good too.

Also, if they take past MK music from MK2 and MK3, and add those, I think MKD would have the perfect soundtrack for a game of its style.

That Duel of the Fates theme is AWESOME. Tenchu: Stealth Assassins has an awesome final boss theme too.

I'm all for remixing some of the classic MK themes from past games into the new game. That's what I'd really like to see. I tell you what I don't want to see though, I never want to see a crappy rock band that isn't capable of writing a basic guitar lead for their songs *cough*Adema*cough* doing another theme song for the game. tongue

lol. I would like them to rework the classic MK music, and try to create some new stuff that has the same feel. MKDA music did feel out of place at some times, but it was still decent.

Oh please. No raging guitars please. Only if it fits with the battleground.

I want it dark. Like the old MK's . And I want Sensational music when you finally face the DK. Not metal or wussy stuff like that.
And I hope reaching the bosses will be a challenge this time ^^;
