Offtopic question.... I've unlocked every thing in the Krypt except for the ?mark box. So is there any point in me getting all 60 relics in Konquest? I'm only missing one, but it is towards the end of Konquest some where wich I don't feel like playing it all the way through again really....
i was also wondering this.
cause i'm only missing some concept art and that ? box.
actually i think i'm gonna use a code too.
cause i really, really, really, really, really want to know.

Actually, there might be a way to find out just what the password is to unlock that thing in the Krypt. It's just not a conventional method, and would probably require a person who can hack the Codebreaker codes or look at the game with a Hex editor and perhaps a bit of luck.
My guess is that you'll probably want to look for the bit of code in the game that will accept the six-button code, as there's probably some kind of thing in it that checks to see whether the code is right or wrong, and then acts appropriately. What we need to find out is what exactly corrisponds with a "right" code. I'm sure it could be found that way.
What d'ya think? Anyone want to give that a shot?

Check out MKA website question mark page. Scroll over the 1st picture in the second column. It is entitled "Ultimate Krypt." May be what is behind the question mark...

What question mark page? MKArmageddon.com has no such page...

Isn't that picture old? But anyways, I can see a couple things being hidden in the ? box, but another entire Krypt? I don't know, the MK Team's laziness lately kind of puts a shadow of doubt over that thought for me. But on the other hand, it would be great if it were true.

I hope but very very unlikely that it's a new fatality system cause this one blows really bad it's so boring after awhile there's no uniqueness and I miss that ..... Hell I watched the dvd content last night and the team were saying how there old fatalities were so much better well then why don't you redo those ones I wouldn't give a damn I mean they were in charge and Boon said all the things he wished they could of done but no time then delay the game at least then I would get my 50$ worth

So in other words, we beat the game with ALL 64 characters, we get the secret canon ending to this part of the series?

It's gonna be a long few months...

Ok as we all know the combination requiered for the secret has 6 spaces.
Theres a total of 12 buttons that you can use to access the code (on the PS2 BTW, dont know about Xbox) L1, L2, R1, R2, X,O, TRIANGLE, SQUARE, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT.
So with that in mind theres a total of 479,001,600 posible combinations. But since we only need to use 6 buttons we need to find out how many 6 digit combinations we can get with those 12 digits. We need someone who know math more than I do cause Ive been trying to figure this out for about an hour and still nothing. Any college or highschool teachers around us that might help? Or if theres a computer program that can do that, thatll be the best. wink

It's 12^6. Since there are 12 possiblities for every one of the six inputs. Roughly around 3 million possibilites. Also does anyone know if the R3 or L3 buttons can be input? That would make the number even larger.grin

I have to leave for work in 35 minutes. MAYBE I can do ~3mil button combos before then...wink

just kinda randomly thinking about the ? box while going through konquest... the relics are in sets of 10... for 60 total.. thats 6 things unlocked.. maybe theres some way the things unlocked can be correlated to a button for the krypt box?

Great thinking! Although I think I'd rather not unlock the box if I have to deal with a hardcore math problem. Great stroy problem for a math exam though. lol.

the exact number of combinations possiable is done by using the following formula 12*11*10*9*8*7*6 and the answer is 3,991,680

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but I didn't feel like going through the 20+ threads on these boards.
There are six chapters in Konquest
1.Jungle
2. Arctika
3. Red Dragon Hideout
4. Neatherealm
5. Outwolrd
6. Edenia
I know it seems farfetched but what if in each chapter there is a symbol or something that corresponds to a button. Now don't forget that the attacks are also referred to as 1-4 so if say we spot a 3 it would infact be x. Now these could be code hidden in dialogue or randomly spoken by enemies. Maybe even something on the map when you pull it up. Grasping at straws here guys any input would be appreciated.

Maybe you can unlock the Portal arena, as it was seen in a screenshot featuring a KAK and Sub-Zero in his alternate costume.

i have a PhD in mathematics man, yes its 12^6. it seems if you all just write a program on a computer to generate all combinations, and get enough people on board roughly a 100 then you each need to check about 358318 codes. well, it takes about 6 seconds per code.....so about 597 hours or about 3.5 weeks. Point is this, if you get about 1000 people then things get easier. You are not going to tackle something this big with a small group. However, i am sure of a few things
1) There are probably more than 1000 people willing to do this
2) I wouldnt be surprised if some one person has already begun this quest to find the code and be the first to find it...to that person I hope they dont have a girlfriend or wife (of course they dont)
3) It would be more productive to probably just wait than try...but no one is going to listen to that. Moreover, it would probably be more productive to come up with a plan than keep posting guesses.
good luck
