Well.. some of the endings might be true in MKD, so I guess we have to wait and see. However anything can happen in MK.

I prefer them to stay as 'what ifs' for the sake of speculation. If we knew what was going to happen next, then it would basically ruin the beginning of the next game. And we'd know everything before hand.
Speculation can arise from true endings as well as the 'what if' ones, but it'd be best not to know the truth. 'What ifs' lead to many more story possibilities than the overall true happenings.

I think you are right!!!

The endings in the fighting videogames (not only MK) aren't true or fake, are "what if"... only the endings come to be true if in the next game, the MKTeam used the "what if"... if not, doesn't turn into fake, but still "what if"...
I don't know if I have expressed myself correctly, but thus it's as I think that they work the endings

when u think about it we buy the game to fight with each other....we dont really buy the game to see the ending...the ending is like 5% of the game. so if the endings suck then it shouldn't hurt the game that much....i know i just wanna fight

I Want an ending i dont care if it somes true but i need something 2 looks forward to!...and the ending videos are basically a "what if" they won thing..and when the sequel comes out that when they tell u what happned and i like it that way

I loved the ending of Raiden when he talked to Elder God

FMV endings are pretty nifty, but did you even hear the people talk in the MK4 endings? It was rediculous. That was some of the worst voice acting ive ever heard.

Have you heared the voice acting so far in Konquest? :-p But the text + pics endings are comfirmed anyway. So it doesn't matter
