I must be seeing things because either in Game Informer or Gamespot quoted that MKD Characters are targeted at around SIX special moves each?
I hope they aren't bullshitting, it would kinda slightly make up for the lack of characters but anyhow, is this really true? You guys psyched too?

Last game was focusing on fighting styles this game will focus on special moves and I hope they play more of a role because this is a big part of what makes each character unique

Yeah as far as I know. And seriously why are people saying 24 is a "lack of characters." 24 is a very well balancecd and well rounded number, some could even argue it's to many. I am content with 24 characters. For those who believe 24 is not enough, just ask yourself one question. Would you rather have fewer quality characters, or more cheap, generic characters. Personally i would pick the fewer of better quality.

Special moves are good, but what I'd like to see is a refinement in gameplay that allows buffering of special moves so that they can be executed during combos. Otherwise all you got is a combo-special move-combo-special move affair. Just about every other fighting game has buffering to some degree. (This should probably be on a separate thread.) I'm perfectly happy with six - I'm just glad that characters won't have as little as two. I thought that was unacceptable.
