Seriously, I thought he was a really cool character and was dissapointed to see him missing in MK:DA. I would love to see him again in MK6.

I also like Shinnock, his look, storyline and all.

The main problem then I had with him was that his moves were not original, he was a Shang Tsung ripoff.

Give him some cool original moves and I have no problem with him

I don't even remember what his moves were. Could he change into other people too?

Shinnok did have an okay storyline, but seeing as he was supposed to be this big and powerful former elder god and all he could do was impersonate (not even shapeshift) other fighters turned me off about him. Heck, to me, MK4 was just like an updated MK1 with better graphics, Kano's name changed to Jarek, and new characters. If he had the ability to actually attack an opponent with his own abilities and had a decent stroyline in the next game, then I'd be happy to have him back in MK6.

Shinnok was to weak and easy to beat. He didn't look menacing enough too.

In mk4, yes he was too weak. But in MKM, he was awesome. You could possibly have him back, i just don't want to see Kahn again( there was too much repatition in the mk series).

Yeah, in MK Sub-Zero, he was pretty cool, with the amulet shot and the shield, but he was really bad in MK4, just a Shang Tsung ripoff.

Shinnok was great in the arcade version of mk4...had great fatalities. What I liked about him was his stealth morphing (don't know what else to call it). You did say, fdf+hp, and you were Sub-Zero and your opponent had no idea what character you changed to. This ruled.

Shinnok was a sory excuse for a boss. He was a freakin playable character. When I first saw MK4 I wanted to know who could possibly be the new boss, who could be more powerful than Kahn, but then I found out it was Shinnok and I was pissed.

I didn't like Shinnok I liked Reiko I'd love to see him back too bad there was too much confusion and debate about whether or not he was shao kahn. Now if he did come back and Shao Kahn wasn't in the debate would re emerge and people would say "see they said shao kahn isn't dead and Reiko is back I was right."

Yeah he was really evil in Mithologies... But he just sucks in MK4.. Without doubt the worst boss MK has ever had... Even worse and much easier than the deadly alliance

He was the most powerful boss we fought against so far. And I don't mean in actual game (MKM, MK4, MKG), 'cause in last two he sucked terribly. I mean it in a story aspect. Let me quote Quan Chi's words:

"Shao Kahn is nothing but a peasant ruler of a long dead realm. Shinnok!...is the destroyer of all realms, including Kahn's Outworld."

Shinnok is the fallen Elder God, he is/was more powerful than Dragon King I suppose, because as far as I know DK wasn't a god.

But don't worry, I won't create another thread like "Bring Shinnok back" or "I want Shinnok in MK6" like lot of people done with many other players. Although it's a pity that they messed him up in the past so badly. He should be a lot more difficult than Kahn, but he was not.

As for the topic... No, U R not the only one who liked Shinnok. And if his gameplay power was equal to his story power, he would be at least as popular as Shao.

I liked Shinnok. His story and costume were cool. And it was very interesting to see him using things like Scorpion's spear or Liu Kang's bycicle kick. And you have to remember, He didn't have his amulet, And that's where his "Great Power" came from

I personally think it would be a waist of a good character if we never saw shinnok again.

In mk4, he was kinda like a good character gone horribly wrong. If he were to reappear, I really hope they give this character his due.

I dunno I thought he was pretty weak compared to Shao Kahn. I mean in MK2 and 3 Kahn could hit you with a punch and blow you across the screen. Not to mention kill you in about 4 hits. Shinnok on the other hand had no special moves of his own and could only immitate the other characters. He could have been cool but they messed him up.

Well said, man. I must say I liked Shinnock a lot better in mythologies. He had more personality then, really. But I must admit, he looked cool in that black elder-god outfit.

The problem with Shinnok was simple:

He sucked.

I must admit though, that he had an excellent storyline and VERY cool Fatalities. But other then that, he was:

Very Weak for a boss with THAT kind of story.

Nothing original for a boss (no moves?).

And his look...well, it kind a sucked too.

I think Shinnok COULD come back, if he was improved 100%.
