Am I the only one who would be interested to see a fighter with only one arm?

Now, before I get any "OMG that's gay" remarks, lemme explain myself.

You see, if you've ever seen an experienced martial artist missing a limb, you would know that it looks REALLY cool when they fight using only that arm and their legs. Of course, he would have to have a nice attire at that. We don't want some guy in a wife beater missing an arm now do we?

So, am I the only one that thinks this would look pretty cool? They could already use an existing character even, like Rain. Long cloak covering his missing arm and using only one arm to fight. What do you all think?

I wanna see one with one leg and his storyline could be that he survived quan chis leg beat fatality and is trying to get revenge.

sounds awesome but..i think a fighter with one arm going up against baraka with 2 long ass blades would get his ass kicked pretty badly.

yeah it could work...we already have a blind fighter, so a one arm fighter could work(unsure if Drahmin can be included as a one arm fighter)

Good concept, if he/she was created as well as Kenshi then i'd like to see it. he could be a pirate, lol! (Has there ever been a pirate in a fighting game???)

Cervantes from the Soul Blade/Soul Calibur series. A very badass pirate at that.

I love the idea!

Its very original and could work perfectly! I think it would kick ass.

THere is one special forces character called Lance who only has 1 metal arm and the other normal.(comics)

The metal arm magicly gets VERY long and shocks you when he grabs the person.

I think that idea could kick ass. He was killed though. That arm was so cool.

A guy with one arm could be cool and add a bit of variety, but he'd prolly have to be really big to make up for it.

If a character did have only one arm, I would like them to look sort of noble. A race like Edenians (maybe someone from Orderealm). He should have enough skill to be better than Liu Kang (to make him interesting) and make you wonder, "How exactly did he lose his arm?".

Either that, or a giant sub-boss that resembles a pit trained ogre. Maybe having one arm mike make this new "Ben" character more interesting?

How about a gut where one of his arms just falls off if you hit it with a weapon.

um no offense but I don't like the idea. what next, have a character fighting in a wheel chair? lol

having kenshi being blind was kool though, but let that be the only handicap thing in MK.

Having a character with no arm would just make them different to handle, not really a disadvantage.

I knew somebody was going to bring up a wheelchair =p And as someone else said, its more of a different style than a handicap. If Kenshi was right here, I'm sure he wouldn't call his blindness a handicap, since his other senses are now off the charts.

There has already been a character w/ only one arm; Oro from Street Fighter 3. However, doing it right would be another thing. Maybe he/she could take over Tae Kwon Do, since it's kick heavy? Even block with his/her knees, something like that.
What about a character that doesn't even resemble a humanoid? No definite arms and legs, maybe even no head? I guess that would really screw w/ fatalities in the long run...

If you ever played Street Fighter 3rd Strike you would realize it looks alot lamer in a video game.

It may look kool in movies but in video games it look's lame.

I think it would be better if you just give an existing character that has two arms a "one arm" fighting style.It would be taunting the opponent.I think it would look cool.

Okay, I just saw Oro, and that is NOT what I had in mind with the way a one-armed fighter looks. Especially since Oro has two arms, and the other is just tied.

I was thinking more along the looks of someone like Sesshomaru from Inuyasha. Not...Oro's ugly ass o_O

I don't know exactly what Wanderer had in mind, but I pictured a one-armed fighter as a noble member of a realm with superior fighting abilities, maybe dressed in a noble looking red and gold uniform (much like the pattern's on Shang Tsung's from MKDA), with maybe a Straight Sword or Fencing Sword as his weapon. He would fight with all his abilities, even though one of his arms was amputated.
