Just a quick question. How does anyone know this is Smoke. It looks more like Onaga (Skab), Havik, Drahmin, Noob Saibot or Reiko to me. Maybe even a new Tekunin warrior?

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, this character is Smoke. Reasons:

1) The character is a ninja with a gray color scheme.

2) His flesh is made up of Smoke.

3) He is exactly what many of predicted he would be since April(sources, my friend).

Yes, I know sources said that, but why can't they leak false information about characters' names to their underlings? I'll respond to your posts in discussion.

1. The gray colour scheme looks like it could fit almost any of the characters I mentioned before. Not to mention the demonic mask.

2. We've seen part of his body (or costume) transparent, but I don't think taht it is certainly smoke. Not until we see more graphics. I can sort of see stuff flying around in the transparent parts, butas far I'm concerned it could be ectoplasm or just a costume, or something.

3. Sources may have been leaked false information. They can easily just say "Well, SMoke's got no purpose in this game, so why not say it's Smoke and have it turn out to be Drahmin?". It sort of does blend well with the not quite human Smoke theory, but until we see "Smoke" written on his health bar, it could be anyone.

I don't know his ending off by heart, but I think it said he returned to his origion form. I don't know if he was actually ever human.

What ninja do you know with a mask that is grey?? Smoke or any type of gas is suppost to be transparent any it won't be opaque soo that is another reason it would be Smoke. Also why would they make any other character transparent. Overall it is definatley Smoke.

And a more logical explanation as to why it is you think it isn't smoke is because the game is called deception but even if you did say that not neccissarily everything is meant for "our" decievement.

How you got a Tekunin warrior is beyond me. The Tekunin are robots, and are designed almost exactly like Sektor.

Havik is just a name. So is Onaga.

Skab has half of his face missing. You can obviously tell that isn't him if you've seen his pictures. Skab also isn't transparent.

Reiko isn't transparent.

Noob Saibot isn't transparent.

While that could be Drahmin in a new form, I doubt it. Drahmin was a warlord, and I doubt a warlord would look like that of all things.

I can tell you why it is Smoke though:

1) He wears a gray ninja vest.

2) He's made of smoke.

3) Transparency also coincides with his ability to turn invisible in MK3.

4) That red splotch on his face is actually blood, believe it or not. On high-res photos you can tell it is. We're not completely sure what his face really looks like.

5) Because people with known credible sources such as Konqrr and Kel-X have said so.


There you have it. Its Smoke.

anywayyyy that is another thing why do people assume onaga and havik are the same person and are sub bosses??? Havik you can make predictions about since he was on i think darrius' bio but onaga???? All we've seen is a name so don't clutter the forum with all these threas ive seen 2 that say..........Onaga/Havik/Skab

o shittttt sum1 read the thread about the new gamepro issue it says that smoke looks like a cross between noob and smoke that kid was right when he said it looks lik noob.

Yeah that is smoke. and these names havik, sareena, onaga, skab, have we seen anything related to them. not really just questionable photots. how do we know they are not just in the story. we know about this jared from sindels story but never heard anything. these are prolly just names in their stories their pasts. no one cares! everybody just wants to see their old faves anyways.

Wanderer is right, this is smoke and that red spot on his face is blood from what I can make out he appears to have a silver or metallic face plate if anyone has any other opinions I'd be welcome to hear them.

If it is blood, then it is more reason to suspect it is a character other than Smoke. Saying he is made out of smoke isn't really evidence. Again sources may be incorrect. Sure it may have been intended to be Smoke, but I don't know how you gather it's Smoke with a new looking character that hasn't even got a name officially attached.

How do you know the transparent part is not part of the character's costume? Noob Saibot wears a full body suit. Who says that he can't have transparent splodges on his costume?

Well it appears if Smoke and Saibot are going to be one character so to speak. I think this is a good move. It allows Smoke to escape his cybernetic form, and allows Noob Saibot to become a fresher character.

A ninja with a gray color scheme? No. Never has an MK character have been ninja + gray scheme. No other character in MKD has had such a look. Not even Noob has gray on him. Only metal armor and rings. This character we see has both of Smoke's trademarks.

Look at his arm which is infront of his black vestment. You can't see completely through it. Therefore, there's no doubt that this character is made of Smoke. Kel-X even said when the live vids come out, you'll be able to see the mist swishing within Smoke.

It can't be "anyone" because there has to be some form of probably cause. The probably cause and the concrete testimony point to Smoke.

And as Wanderer said, the "demonic mask" is merely blood covering his face. Noob, BTW, has DARK HUMAN FLESH. Not transparent skin.
