TUN: Look at his arm which is infront of his black vestment. You can't see completely through it. Therefore, there's no doubt that this character is made of Smoke. Kel-X even said when the live vids come out, you'll be able to see the mist swishing within Smoke.

TUN: And as Wanderer said, the "demonic mask" is merely blood covering his face. Noob, BTW, has DARK HUMAN FLESH. Not transparent skin.

You sound like you just want to argue for the sake of arguing. Kabal and Mavado can both have hookswords. Nothing is saying they can't, as there is more than one pair in the world. A character like Reiko won't just change his appearance either.

Its was later revealed it was worded differently. Smoke and Noob have similar moves, not the same body. Skab has half of his face missing. Kabal doesn't. Smoke is the ONLY character has like smoke-like puffs.

Smoke has been confirmed for the game by Midway developers. Put two and two together.

Noob Saibot's alt has been revealed. The black is just a body suit, apparently. He's actually white. This is also Mortal Kombat. All characters will bleed. They won't have puffs of smoke coming out of him. That would be ridiculous. Stop arguing just for the sake of rebuttaling.

Why not have a charcter made out of water bleed? That makes more sense than to have water fly off them, right? I mean gases and liquids can bleed.

I mean no offense, but all these people acting as if their opinion on what is going on is fact. This is not directed at anyone, but I've seen people say it would be stupid to have Stryker return because he was a bad character and anyone that doesn't think so is wrong, a certain character needs to return because they were badass anyone who disagrees is wrong, a character is in because I said so and anyone that tries to reason with this logic is wrong or making things diffilcult, this is someone because I said so, even though there is no solid confirmation other than speculation that this is who I say it is.

Jade was never labeled as dead. Cyrax was never labeled as dead. Midway RETCONNED Kung Lao's death (he was originally dead). And Kitana was originally going to be in MK4 but she was removed last minute of pre-tour. Hell, her coding is in the N64 version.

In theory that sounds nice, but its actually crap. Blood or some other fluid will come spewing out. Would you really want to see a Fatality where smoke is just puffing out? That would look dumb as hell. Water and fire can bleed. Water's "blood" will be blue. Fire (eg: Blaze) will bleed orange, signifying lava.

You do realize that if fan favorites are replaced by lesser like characters fans WILL be pissed off, right? When a developer announces something, they'll stick to it unless they want angry fans. Angry fans = loss of sales. If the character roster is shit, I know I won't be buying the game. I think Midway is smarter than that to announce something they can't keep.

Welcome to the boards theonaga! You bring up a good point, but Li Mei has that helmet, too. Reiko in his ending to (similar ones). I don't think that along is evidence to say "It's 100% Smoke.". That's what really eats at me, not that Smoke is likely to be in the game (I would rather see Styker or someone, though). Smoke's helmet has horns. This reminds me more a Zaterrian warrior (who have invisibility properties).

But again, Kitana was supposed to be in MK4. Was she? Smoke is supposed to be in MK6, will he be? Until I've seen photos of Smoke in the game with confirmation of his name, and his face attached to that name, SMOKE IS NOT 100% IN THE GAME!. Those psychics might have predicted every election right, but this one they might predict wrong. All Boon need sto do is go "No Smoke" and no Smoke.

Did you not read stevodastoppa statement about the oriental Smoke symbol on the character's boot. That sort of evidence is indisputable.

Maybe because the guy on the pic is constituted by smoke... It's all the same an indisputable sign...


Maybe there is a doubt yet for Dairou in the other thread, but there is no possible doubt for Smoke here, even if I'm not fan of him...

It can't be Noob since his icon is already up in the screen shots. And this character's icon is also shown. The picture may have been taken as either as a prerender to the smoking affect or between his puffs of smoke, or they got rid of them all together and made the smoke flow inside the figure. It can't be skab since we already seen his alt in Puzzle Kombat. Ed Boon said that Smoke's appearance wouldn't be human or cyborg, well that picture sure proves it. Or would you rather have Smoke go the way of Reptile and become some kind of animal by de-evolving. As for the blood, here's my take. Smoke may very well be solid, however, his surface may look like smoke for camouflage. So it's kind of like the Stealth Unit from MGS. Although it doesn't make sense it's an attempt to explain it. Otherwise, if he really is a smoke cloud, then if he's cut, I'd like to see some space where smoke clears to signify the cut.

Exactly. We know Noob is in the game from that. We haven't seen Smoke, so how do we know that that character most people think is Smoke isn't called "Kerry"? If you put two and two together you'd work out she fought Reptile then disappeared. Reptile appeared twice after this, and Jade nothing. Cyrax ran into a desert where he didn't appear until Gold. Most people would assume that he was lost forever around the time of MK4. Kung Lao was originally killed. This was the result of two and two throughout MK4, but that changed with the arrival of MKGold. Kitana was supposed to be in MK4 (as Smoke is supposed to be in MKD), and was she? Who says they won't keep "Smoke" in the game, but change the label on the shoe, and his fighting styles? The point is ther eis no "2+2" in Mortal Kombat. The best you can get is "a+a" or other algebra equations. You can't get the answer until it's given to you.

But how would blood come out of a pure smoke entity? It doesn't make sense. What would look crap is if he starts to bleed and have intestines if he is made out of a non-solid formula.Why would a water entity have blue blood? WHy would someone made out of fire bleed lava? I can see someone with molten rock running through their body bleeding lava, but that is the same thing with Smoke bleeding smoke.

Smoke wouldn't be replaced. Sure some people might get angry if "SMOKE" appears in bold letters next to his picture, but one photo of a guy with no name doesn't imply anything. Besides, I asked my friend and my cousin who they like more Stryker or Smoke. Both said Stryker. I know that doesn't make him more popular than Smoke, but it shows that he does have fans. Smoke isn't nearly enough to lose Midway much money, nor is he enough to gain Midway enormous cash-ins. Sure if Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Liu Kang and Sonya Blade are not in the game, then it has some serious money loss potentials.

I would call it very strong, but I wouldn't say it is indisputable. I'm not an expert, but that symbol could have a regional meaning. Or Boon might have put it there as a joke. One screen confirms... the "internal" sources information, the same ones who confirms Li Mei in March (although many denied such evidence until E3) and many others informations.

Reiko's helmet? That is the faceplate from Smoke's robot form on his face. The only helmet Reiko had was a Shao Kahn-esque one from only 1 version of 4. As for Kitana in 4 ,I thought that it was Eurocom who wanted to put her IN at the last minute ,but there wasn't enough time.

Designs change. All the ninjas got sperated ninja "vest" things, instead of one clean cloth in Trilogy. The helmet could change. And I think that saying it's Smoke is just speculation. I don't think he counts as confirmed.
