I hope not. I hope that by the end of Konquest they let you name him...However this seems unlikely as it was stated in Scott Howell's 10 question interview that he wasn't really customizable aside from fighting styles and finding a secret move or two in Konquest...So there will be different versions of the same character, some more powerful than others if they have found secret moves, plus this answers the question of what the computer will call him...But Shujinko?? It just sounds weird. Perhaps it's just "for now" name like Ketchup and Mustard for Cyrax and Sektor before they were named. What do you think?
Ill name my Konquest character Pai Mei.....Old with a beard and 47 years of experience

I'd like it if they at least let you customize your name since there's not much else you can customize other than your attire and moves.

Don't really matter to me, I just hope that by the time MK7 comes out they will include a true create-a-character Konquest. I am like so disappointed in it.

I think Shujinko is a cool name. Even if I could change it, I wouldn't.

err... the whole kreate a kharacter thing is soooooo iffy IMO. I think they're gettin into trouble trying to add that for the 7th. Create a characters in games usually end up a disaster. even the wrestling games, which has had that option for years, has yet to really perfect that.
i think it's a bad idea.

TomTaz, in that interview submitted in the news coloumn...

]0MBAT: Question #4 comes from Jordan Mudd of Winsorlock, Connecticut. "...What level of customization will you be able to take your character to? Will you be able to pick your clothes, special moves, fatalities, gender, and race?"

Ed Boon: No, no, it's not going to be a create a character, so to say. The whole goal is to unlock this character as the old man Shujinko when you finish the Konquest mode, and there will be, uh, specifics about him that you'll be able to change.

That leads me to believe that once he BECOMES an old man, his name will be Shujinko on a permanent basis...but your SAVE FILE can be called whatever you want, and might now necessarily become the name of the character...just the name of the save file you use to load and save...thats MY opnion

Yep that's the question that I was refering to, and unfortunately I think your right...Shujinko it is...unless like I said it's just place holder name until they pick something better.

Cartman: If you like it, sounds like it's good news for you then my friend. smile

I think the Konquest characters name, Shujinko, will not change. It seems like a lot of extra work for an extra character if you wanted to include a custom name, because the announcer has to say it, therefore you would have to set the pronunciation.

Nothing wrong with Shujinko. I like it. It's not exactly "Muchacha" if you get my drift...

Personally, I like the name Shujinko. It sounds cool unlike that stupid name Apep. If I could i would change Apep's name to Bob.
