Anyways, I say Yay to Ashrah. Only because she has caused more debates and theories than Hotaru. Just trying to figure her out is interesting. Also, she is one of the first new female characters to keep her pants on. So far only Sonya as been able to pull that off.

In regards to Hotaru, I must say Nay. Just because there hasn't been as much interest in him as in Ashrah.

I course when we get more info or the game comes out I could change my mind.

I like Ashrah because of her simple outfit. She reminds me of raiden from original MK.

I won't vote, at least not yet. We don't know anything about them yet, all we have are these screenshots that aren't all that good when it comes to detail. No one can really say they have a good shot of their faces yet. Not to mention the game isn't coming out until October.

Right now, for every character we've seen so far, I say yay!

Ashrah looks really cool. The mystery and hype surrounding her has been great. It would be great if she turned out to be evil as it would surprise a lot of people. If she is good, then hopefully she will not be the Raiden copy cat that many are assuming her to be. I'll be looking forward to seeing her story.

As for Hotaru, his costume looks ok. I'll be looking forward to his story also. Given his look, he may be neutral or evil, but he doesn't seem like anything special at this moment in time.

Baraka looks awesome and he has always been just that in each game he has been in. I can't wait to play as him and check how he plays in game. I'm glad he has returned.

Mileena is the best looking of all the characters so far! She has been given a total revamp which is excellent! She looks incredibly sexy and the Persian look is now probably my fave MK costume ever!

Sub-Zero's Shreeder look is amazing! I love it! To me, this is his best ever costume. The helmet looks so cool as does the armour.

Scorpion is the same as always although the few changes on him are cool.

Ermac is not a favourite of mine but he looks great now! His outfit is brilliant!

Noob hasn't ahd much of a change really, but again he is not a fave. He's one of my most hated characters but even so, it's nice to see him back.

Kenshi looks ok. The ripped clothing is cool. Although I'd need to see a better pic of him.

And Sindel looks great! The queen has really moved on from the past! Her outfit and hair look cool and I can't wait to see what she is like in game!

I can't make final judgement on the two newcomers yet, not having seen much of them.

Ashrah- Undecided. I'm hoping she's not a raiden wannabe.
Hotaru- Yay, a samurai fits MK well.

Ashrah- YAY. The magazine says she has a connection to Raiden. I think she looks cool and will probably be a good character to play with.

Hotaru- I would have to say nay at this point. He lacks points in originality in my opinion. One thing I always liked about MK is that the characters didnt remind me of character from other games.. Hotaru kinda reminds me of some characters from Tekken and other games. Im sure he will be cool tho

I agree. They could have pretty cool storylines that we don't know about yet, crappy moves, their names could change before the final release, etc. It's too soon to say "Yay or Nay" to either of them IMO.

I say 'yay' because they're both new characters, and that's fine by me. No reason to 'nay' a new character at all.

I agree! All the other females are like, half naked (not that I mind cause they look cool) but their costumes lack originality.

Anyway, I have to say YAY to both. Hotaru looks AWESOME. I really like his costume, very cool. And Ashrah was seems to be SO interesting. I hope she is an EVIL GOD trying to betray or KILL RAYDEN!

I say, the less stuff characters have on them (big belts, fur coats, iron helmets and things like that) the more convincing they look.

Ashrah looks fine to me, so does Hotaru. I'm more exctited over Hotaru than Ashrah though, coz I'm just a ninja/samurai lover :)

I don't know about Hotaru just yet. I'm not a big fan of his character design. Plus Hotaru is a girls name. Hell she's Sailor Saturn in Sailor Moon. I don't get why they would give that name to some guy. Bleh. Anyways, I think Ashrah is awesome. I love her look and the simplicity of it suits her. It's very elegant. I'm just waiting to see what she's all about. My opinion on both of these characters could change by the time the game comes out however.

I say "Yay" for both of them. The two of them look good. And everyone has to remember, They will have secondary costumes.

yay they both seem cool but i think this will be their 1 time appearence in the games, they dont seem to have the Mk classic feel, soo

Not really. There is some stupid anime where the main character is a guy called Hotaru.

I think hotaru is an elder vampire. I made a thread about it a lil while ago.
