Ashrah VS Sareena! A feud between the two former guardians of Quan Chi?!

We are told in Ashrahs bio that she was cast out and became the prey of Quan Chis bodyguards after not agreeing with one of his plans.
I am wondering if one of these bodyguards was Sareena. Did Ashrah at one point work with Sareena, Jataaka and Kia as Quans assassins and bodyguards? If so, did she look anything like them? The way she looks now would show the separation and changes she has made to her own being after finding the Kriss which purifies the evil within her.
Now, maybe Ashrah has a score to settle with Quan and Sareena as well as her known goal of purifying herself. Did Sareena engage in pursuing Ashrah? If they did know each other, what was their relationship like? Did they get along?
And since we know that Jataaka, Kia and Sareena have been Quans bodyguards for so long, exactly how old is Ashrah and when exactly was she loyal to him? Was she somewhere in the sidelines in the story of MK assisting him at certain times. If Ashrah has been apart from Quan for so long, what exactly has she been doing and where has she been all this time? Surely she must have made some friends on her journey and purified herself quite a bit.
And wouldn’t Quan know if she were alive? Surely he’d have sent some of his forces after her to have her killed. Again, this may be where Sareena comes in. Sareena may have hunted Ashrah at one point to show her loyalty to Quan. She could have let Ashrah go as they may have been friends, or tried to kill her but failed. Maybe Ashrah spared her or they never actually fought. Or they could have done before Ashrah was cast out. Ashrah may secretly wish to come across her old friend/foe/partner once again and engage in battle. Both could even have been competing for Quans attention and to see who the better of the two of them was.
Even if none of this is the case, Sareena would be just another demon for Ashrah to kill and another step in her purification tackled.

It is a very interesting theory, I once believed that it was Sareena the demon Ashrah was sent to kill.
But we have seen some proof that Sareena might actually be on the good side. She helped and allied with Sub-Zero in her MKTE ending.
I think she plays a very important role in his story (even though nothing has been said about her in Subs bio or ending)
Still, I like your ideas better. It would be very nice to see an entire labyrinth of twisted stories that involved the 3 assassins of Quan Chi.
I think Sareena IS STILL working (secretly though) for Quan Chi, but something tells me she will not only betray her “enemies”, she will also betray her friends, Quan Chi included.
As for who is the best of the 2, I think (so far) Ashrah as more potential and could easily win the battle.

That's an interesting Theory!
I think that if that's the case, it will explain a lot about Sareena in MKD. However in Ashrah's bio Sareena wasn't under her 'enemies' so I don't think that's the case. However if Sareena is in MKD, I am sure there will be a lot of possibilities that her story will relate some how to Ashrah's story.

Like you said we always knew Jataakam, Kia and Sareena were Quan Chi's bodyguards for a long time. I was asking the same question's also like how long ago was Ashrah Quan Chi's bodyguard? cause we have never herd of her. But all these questions you asked makes me wonder whats her place in MK:D.
I grew very fond of her when being told a bio of her cause that bio brought up more questions in my mind and other peoples minds that makes me more attracted to find out more about Ashrah.
I think the MK team made all good and potentially GREAT new comers in MK:D.

After reading Sareena sfull story, I believe she has the potential to be of any alignment. Her story is so interesting and complex it's hard to assign her to an alignment.
As you said, she could very well betray her friends her enemies and friends. Sareena is capable of anything deadly and I'm sure she is very cunning and smart. traits which she will have learnt as an assassin and off Quan Chi.
I wouldnt say either is better yet. Both have huge potential and I look forward to playing as them both. Hopefully Sareena will make it to MKD.

I love Ashrah. The mystery surrounding her and the way she looks is amazing. Of all the MKD characters, I am looking forward to finding more about her the most.
We will find out her palce in MK soon enough. I just hope they can continue the mystery whilst revealing some of the information.

That is true. The bios we have seen are just a very little story that hint us about the characters story and stuff.
I think they are not the completed real information (this we will learn in her real Bios/endings/konquest), just part of it.

if sareena is chasing after ashrah, it smells a little bit like the kitana-jade story...are they friends, or does sareena stay loyal...anyway I still think ashrahs hatt is lame...it's twice the size of her head..like the dutch queen...But ashrah does have one of the most interesting stories...how does midway come up with all those beautiful names..mileena, kitana, kia, kira, jade, sareena, ashrah...only sonya doesnt fit in it...

Well... if the Bios are from current events than I guess Sareena could be in Ashrah's bio as an enemy if that happens then Sareena most likely be in MKD. who knows?. confused

Yes she does look amazing, and I do also hope that they continue the mystery, but still reveal some info on her, cause if they gave us too much info on her it would take away alot of her mystery and she would become less interesting IMO.

Exactly my point. There is still a lot of information being hidden from us and a lot of lanks are left in the plot. Konquest and the Arcade endings should fill them in for us.

You raise a good point there. I guess this would be a possibility of taking that story in a different direction if it were to happen. However, we'd know this time if Sareena was a direct enemy due to Ashrahs story.
I personally like the hat and love her name and everything else about her.
And Sonya is a great name and fitting for a person from Earth realm.

I love the Mk names too! Especially for females! they are so rare, but I have always loved Sonya, even though its the most (and only) normal name of them, its very cool. grin

This is what I think will happen. I believe Sareena will be making an appareance in MKD. She is one of the characters sources have named as super unlockable, so I'm hoping she will be in the game.

Exactly. Ashrahs whole persona has revolved around her mystery. They need to keep it that way.

Hopefully, Sareena will be unlockable.
I am unsure as to why Ermac would be Ashrahs enemy. He isn't a demon. Maybe he is just in her way. He could be stopping her from achieving her goals.

Kitana, in spanish translation (with a G) means: "“Gypsy” which is pretty common here.
Jade is almost everywhere, even some bands have that name.
Kia, Kira, Kiara are very common.
Sindel, Sheeva and Ashrah are the only names I have never seen a girl use.

In holland sonya isnt a rare name, even very common...Its not that i dont like the name but its not special..Every other name from the MK females are rare in Holland, but they are all beautiful...I thought Kitana was a russian name..

Damn tgrant...LOL where did you come up with these ideas they sound awsome. That didnt make sense have ermac listed as one of her enemies.but who knows she could be after all three sareena,ermac and noob. yea your right on another issue sareena has so much potential in her storyline as well, i hope they make use of sareena against Ashrah.

I think Sareena and Ashrah may at first be enemies. For starters, Sareena is a Demon, but also Ashrah will find out, if she doesn't already know, that Sareena was an assassin for Quan Chi. However, I think Ashrah isn't aware that Sareena betrayed Quan Chi.
Perhaps Ashrah will realize Sareena also hates Quan Chi too and they'll form an alliance. But there's the theory that Ashrah's psychotic about purifying herself so maybe she won't care and try to kill Sareena anyway.
If they knew each other before Sareena turned against Quan Chi is something that can be explored and add to their story. Perhaps Ashrah turning against Quan Chi was one of the things that led to Sareena's betrayal.
Sareena has massive potential and she really could land on any allignment. And she also has the potential to switch around, too.
I personally hope she'll be good/neutral. I think she has more potential that way and IMO her being somewhat good and Ashrah somewhat good makes their feud more interesting than just good guy vs. bad guy.

Hmmmm interesting theories.
I personally think that Sareena has come to sub Zero and offered to help him so that she can use the Lin Keui Temple as her base of operations. She knows its only a matter of time before Quan Chi finds out she's outta the netherealm and reckon having earth's fighters on her side will aid her as Earth fighters and Quan Chi aint exactly bossom buddies.
This also gives her protection from Ashrah if it is indeed Sareena that Ashrah is hunting down. On the flip side, it give her plenty of allies to help keep an eye on Ashrah if it's Sareena who's doing the hunting.
I agree Sareena could be alligned either way. She seems to me to be a character like Scorpion who will always be neutral, but have enemies and allies all over the place. She wont fight for a particular side, she's out for nimber 1 and will fight for what she believes, whether that be on the side of the goodies or the baddies.
I'm dying to see Sareena as a proper character.
