I come here on daily bases just like most of you guys to check out what's going on in the world of MK. When I get to work, I launch either IE or firefox and the first thing that springs to mind is MKO. Kind of sadness, isn't it?! lol. Actually, it's cool! It takes me away from the pressures of work because of one simple fact; MKO has absolutely nothing to do with work and it's fun visiting here.
However, lately that buzz has been gradually fading. This is due to a number of reasons I’ll now go into. Still want to read on? Brace yourself then!
The main reason why XBL board suck these days is because MKA has not been totally accepted by the community due to KAKs and some of the other BS Midway prepped for us all and consequently, online crowd has been in free fall since October. And the fact that MKA was never released on PAL really upset the balance here on MKO because PAL XBOX community was actually great when MKD was around.
Also, most of posts that fly around here are just very disappointing. Like quality is just wack. I remember back in MKD days, this forum was awesome. This place was always full of new ideas to enhance competition. An example of that is the tier list that still sits up there. That shit lasted the whole duration of MKD but barely 6months of MKA.
On dramas, whether it being the MKAC drama or the MKF drama just are plain silly; I’m now looking back, I just think to myself; WTF does it all matter? Why did we ever let everything get ever so far and watched it all spin out of control? On the MKAC issue, I don't actually have any vendetta or wish for it to get closed. I simply hated what the admin’s stood for. The lies and what I regard as childish games. However, I somewhat blame myself the divide my actions caused. Back then, I set things in motion with fully aware of the fact that in due time people would catch on.
Maybe I shouldn't have done that and just walked. But then again I think I was right to stand up against what I thought was fundamentally wrong. Either way, my actions back then has caused this great divide that's now evident today with some users here and the others on the other site. Actually, come to think of it, the divide was always going to happen due to something we all lack – respect.
With the whole Red, Groy and MKF argument; that's just a bad drama! You guys have talked so much shit at each other you may never even play each again. Again I ask myself, what does it matter? The negative posts you guys have contributed over the last month alone has done nothing but made you all more resentful of each other and in return turned XBL board into a joke where people come to have pointless arguments. But I have to say the last few days have been good and threads are actually sticking without any form of digression.
Now, for all those who go around claiming they’re better than someone else hence starting further shit without waiting for props from people who play them. Again, ask yourself, what does it matter? Who cares if you’re the best? Is that what constitutes to respect around here? How good you are?
So what’s the point of this post? I guess I just asking myself and anyone else who cares to read this to ask the same question - What does it matter?
From my perspective, none of this shit matters! (Except if you are Check who actually gets paid doing this shit i.e. testing games). So why can’t we just come here with little respect for each other and just start posting something real (to do with MK of course). I look at users on PAL forum and some few here on NTSC (Malone, Alexei and Quest springs to mind) and just wish we could conduct ourselves the way they do and understand that this is just a frickengame!
This not just about game forum nor just MK but to know that there are more important things in life that some forum drama and I'm sure we can all relate to that and for us all to try and put things in perspective our respective lives.
