Definately, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition, and if you wanna give it a try, though some say it sucks, but you should be the judge, Mortal Kombat Advance. Hope this helps!

yeah mk:te is easily known as one of the bests mk's out there, the secrets are a cross between easy and difficult with a hint of mild, so yeah i recommend mk:te

"Is it so important that you win one last argument with him?" "No, it is not, but it is true that I will miss the arguments; they were, finally, all that we had."

I haven't played it yet, but I'm inclined to agree with everyone else about MK:TE. I've played Deadly Alliance on GBA, and I deem it one of the best and most faithful adaptations of an MK game on a portable device. The control's a little glitchy, but I can forgive that. Incorporating near-perfect psuedo-3D graphics, different fighting stances per character, and 3D movement into the game was quite a pleasant surprise, especially with how well the do it.

I'd say get both Tournament Edition and Deadly Alliance, since I've heard they're compatible for 2-player or tag-team mode. It'll be like having *almost* the full console version of the game on a handheld, which is pretty sweet.

Plus, Quan Chi's fatality doesn't stretch the opponent's neck like taffy in the GBA version, so it's all good.

It would have been fantastic if TE was a cart similar to Sonic & Knuckles, in that you could plug DA into it and have a GBA version of DA with all characters, but with the added modes of TE.
