Bioshock anyone?

Bioshock got alot of hype around it. It seems it has even gotten great reviews. However, for whatever reason the concept seems bizzarre and uninteresting to me. This might be because it is bizzarre and uninteresting or it might be just one of those ingenious games that is truly next gen.

I originally thought the premise for Metal Gear Solid was retarded before I played it and realized it was awsome. I also thought Gears of War was going to be lackluster. On the otherhand I always knew that Madden, Fable, From Russia with Love would all be lackluster and I was right.

So my question is has anyone played Bioshock, if so, what do you think


For anyone interested in my other game predictions. Assassin Creed and Mass Effect will be the shit. Too Human will be horrible. Halo 3 will be good, but will not live up to expectations because peeps will compare it to Gear of War and to well their own unrealistic expectations of Halo 3

That's a game that caught my pops interest, since he's a retired Navy diver and all. But is it for PS3 or just XBOX 360?

Bioshock is good, kinda easy even on hard and its only worth playing through once. No online kills this games value. Just rent it.

I'm with Doohoo. I rented it and it's pretty damn fun, but I wouldn't buy it. Graphics and Sounds quality are superb.

BTW, Mav. I've been banned from here. That's why I haven't been able to get back to you. I'm basically done with this game. For now at least, if not forever.

I'm not a fan of Bioshock but I like the dark factor, online play doens't hurt this game. Not every game is meant to be played online if it's good enough offline.

My friend has it.

I have no idea, man. In all fairness to MKO I think there was just some sort of glitch in the system about it all. It had been happening since I came back to this site. It would be on and off and then all of a sudden it was never off. Apparently, now I'm not banned.

I was just reading your thread about DOA4 over at MKAC... You ever get on that anymore? I got it a few weeks ago and I like it quite a bit more than MKA. We should get some games in, man. Should be fun.

The game is way better in most areas. Except a few key areas

music, ambiance, characters and edge. These things seem like they shouldnt make a difference over gameplay, graphics, depth and smoothness. but for whatever reason I am way more into MK

I am looking forward to Virtua Fighter 5. I have never played it before but hear it coming out for Xbox Live sometime around Halloween.

Quest, as of right now the game does not have online play...exactly like the ps3 version of the game. It is still up in the air as to it will have online play or not. wait it out and see b4 you get it bro.

PC gamers can now play XBL users via Windows Live and BioShock is one of the first games to utilize this. Any here playing this on a PC?

I tried to run Bio Shock on the computer

I must say... VERY VERY SICK Graphics ! A first person shooter cant look that good... the water effects are so awesome, it was just perfect.

Sad part is.... I was running the shit on an ATI Radeon X1300 card which isnt anything special, and the reccomended requirements are Nvidia GT8600 or higher cards. I was kinda disappointed... but if I ever do make a switch (not the priority right now), I'll be sure to add this in the collection.

Sucks that the game was built for Nvidia.... gotta hate the battle between ATI and Nvidia.... its almost, or near identical to PS3 vs Wii vs XBOX 360 in a sense.

Yeah, arcade man the graphics are insane in Bio Shock. I also love the dark factor of it and progress as I played it a bit at my friends house and watch him play a lot.

Kind of reminds me of Codemned in some ways.wow
