Anyways, after seeing the trailer in HD, it looks pretty good, but still, they can do so much more. The animation looks stiff, and Batman and Sub-Zero show no emotion when they are smackign each other around

I know there is still a lot of time ahead for the game to be ready for sell, but the main problem is that MIDWAY per say NEVER EVER takes our (REAL FANS) opinions for REAL.....I dont think they even read our thoughts....I have played MK since i was 12and now im 27...i still play the old scholl ones and i never get bored of them. Can you people imagine what it would be to have a NEXT GEN MK game that looks completely REAL. And also it has to have uppercuts, throws, rounkicks, sweeps and air kicks when falling...C'mon those moves are VITAL in MK. Can someone deny this??!! (JUSTIFY)

Midway does listen to the fans. Every Mortal Kombat has included things fans demanded (better Konquest, wake up game, Khameleon). It's ignorant to not recognize that, really, they do care about the fans, and I'm sure they're paying a ton of attention to fan reaction to the DC stuff.

Will it keep them from releasing the game? No way. They're too far into development.

My problem with the MK team isn't that they listen to fans, but perhaps they listen too late or to the wrong fans. For every good idea they listen to and included, they have a habit of included some bad ideas as well.

But props to them for listening and trying to please the vocal minorities.

We only have 1 trailer and 1picture. Sure it looked beautiful, but it also didnt look like it had all the graphic qualities a shocking UR-PS3 game can deliver.

Hopefully that trailer is just something early, because we definitely need to see more realistic graphics, emotions, expressions, etc.

I remember along with the first MK vs DC rumors, there was something about Ed Boon being unhappy with the graphics and wanting them improved.
The footage we have been seeing would be older (the Klose Kombat is supposed to show damage and such on the characters, and what we've seen doesn't, so there's a hint that it is quite old footage), so maybe that's from back then? Either way, the footage released shouldn't represent how the final game will look.
I hope not, anyway...

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Lemmy of Motorhead once said "Selling out only means more people are buying your CDs. You expect us to die in poverty?" The same applies to video-games and it couldn't be more true.

As far as the graphics go... It's still in a production state, I'm sure the graphics will gradually get better as time passes and they start to reveal more. There's no reason to get worked up over a production teaser-- it's only teasing you as to what's in store for us.

1) It's the first trailer which showed maybe 10-15 seconds of fighter footage...chill the fuck out.

2) The game is being made, end of story. It's not a late April Fool's joke or something worse. It's MK8, it's here, you're acting like a *****, get used to it.

3) Midway has been in a slump, they almost merged with Eidos to save themselves some $. Would you rather have had the sour taste in your mouth after MKA?

4) Ed Boon is trying hard on this game obviously, he's working on programming and won't read the topics that some little moron made all special for him that just slam him right off the bat. Go back to the Midway Boards where you won't plague the board.

You have a point about that selling out. But keep in mind, that a higher count of sales should correlate to the quality of your product.

Midway or Boon dying in poverty? They should be filthy rich by now according to Motorhead.

back on topic the graphic looks ...dissapointening.Ok it's fine,but really far from Gears of war level,and Sub Zero attire sucks.
the only thing i like where the stage:OK is the same from DA/Deception 's krypt,but it's better than nothing and beter than a lot of other arenas from previous games.

Shut up Angel, if MK fans are angry about this game then let them blow off steam.

Even if this idea wasn't completely derivative and NOT the game that MK fans wanted when they heard about MK8, the graphics looked only slightly better than MK:A to me. Yeah, they look relatively next gen, but compare the graphics to that of Soul Calibur 4 and they look pitiful.

Also, and this might just be me, but the animations used in the trailer looked very similar, if not identical to animations used in the last three MK games.

Obviously it's early in development, but even if I did like the premise of the game, I'd still be disappointed with the graphics and feel that the new gimmicks look completely and utterly lame.

As I said though, I've been a fan of this series since the first one came out in arcades, so it's not like I'm just a Boon hater or MK hater or whatever. I do think that he lied to fans about a variety of things and that this game basically shows that the MK team has no creativity whatsoever.

I can talk about the game and hope that it'll be good, but I have just as much of a right to voice my opinion whether it's positive or negative as anyone else in these forums so back off and either ignore the people you don't want to hear from or go somewhere else. Because I can tell you that alot of people are still smarting from the original news/trailer.

A vast majority of those people will either lose interest/go away or grow to like the game over time. Until then, you'll just have to deal with people thinking that Boon sold his soul to get MIdway some press.

I just thought of something terrible. What if they are going for a cartoon look which would explain why the graphics don't seem realistic. Look at batman and then look at some of the pictures from his animated cartoon. It looks like that shitty Batman game that launched with the last gen systems. I hope they didn't do that to cater to the cartoon super hero look, since Mortal Kombat is the reason it's a fighting game. They should take the best from both worlds and even the Marvel Ultimate Alliance graphics are sick compared to this so no excuse.

please show a console game that have better graphics then MK VS DCU (other then unreal3 engine games), because this is about as good as console graphics are going to get, if you want a decent framerate. and there is a difference between photorealistik and more photorealistic.
