The Dragon Medallion makes him younger, not older. Sub-Zero's like 40 something.

Hopefully the medallion issue will be resolved by the end of MK:D. I just don't see Subby surviving to another MK game if he continues aging like he is.

As for his outfits, its suppose to make him look more chinese not japanese (samurai are of japan, Raiden's alt. outfit in MK:DA is more samurai looking).

And I do agree they totally messed him up, unless there's a very good story twist coming up. *shrugs* No offence but Subby could use one as well as some of the other favs.

I agree as well. The new subzero looks like he just hopped off of a space ship. I say bring back the classic look.

I actually like Sub's new look: "Shred-Zero". Anyway, the aging thing dosen't matter, He can freeze himself for years at a time so when he emerges he dosen't look any older. Like Dick Clark.

They totally screwed him up i agree why is he so huge.And his outfit is a joke why are most of the fighters so huge baraka looks like a giant.They should of stuck to actors in the game.

Boon didn't screw up Subzero, society screwed up Subzero.

I agree with you guys...instead of complaining about his look which is already final, just grow to like it. I think it looks great.

Subzero looks awesome. I love both costumes. I think the alternate looks better than the other IMO.

***yawns*** But anyhoo, In my opinion Sub looks great and he is not old. Those are just side effects from the DM. Until I see it officially in print, then the whole "he's old now" thing is just an ongoing rumor.

If it's eventually announced that he is old, then it will be really funny...

Ok...wow...I think I REALLY need to clear a lot of things up here. First of all, the Dragon Medallion IS what is made him older. In order to wield the power of the Dragon Medallion, Sub-Zero had to sacrifice his youth. In return, his physical strength and freezing powers were enhanced. Sub-Zero was already a superhuman being before obtaining the Dragon Medallion and I don't just mean the freezing powers. If you don't believe me, ask rayrokka. Being a Lin Kuei warrior, Sub-Zero was endowed with superhuman strength. Boon didn't screw Sub-Zero up at all. In fact, Sub-Zero is getting better and better with each Mortal Kombat game.

His Shredder type look is pretty cool to me even though it is kind of odd. Then again, his weapon style, the Kori Blade also has a weird name since Kori is Japanese for ice. His helmet is not that of a Samurai. It's not that of a Shogun. It's similar to that of a Shogun Ninja. That doesn't necessarily mean that they are going for the Shogun Ninja look though I could be wrong about that.

His alternate costume is ok in my opinion. It looks pretty cool for the most part but I'm not really fond of the ponytail. I think it could've been done a bit better.

One more thing....Sub-Zero may be older, but he doesn't look sick and weak. In fact, he's still kicking ass and as long as Boon is around, Sub-Zero will continue to kick ass in every Mortal Kombat game.

My opinion, as irrelevant as it is, is that both Sub-Zero MKD costumes are by far, and I mean a freaking galaxy, the best Mortal Kombat designs ever made.

i agree.. i think sub.. is looking great so far... his helmet is awsome.. and so is his armor... and his alt.. is starting to grow on me now... i think i even like the pony tail.... reminds me of steven segal... anyway... i am happy that there giving him a new look.. ppl where starting to complain about how boring the ninjas looked in mkda.. so now they change.. and now ppl are screaming why oh god why... because boon said so.. :)

Where was this officially stated? Also, where was it officially stated that Sub is now older? Can you provide a link to these quotes? I'm not being a wise @ss either. I really would like to read up on it.

Of course he "looks" older. No one's disputing that. The question is if the DM has made him physically older.

Those specific's can be very important.
