Why do you keep repeating the same old tired shit? Saying I don't like 2 characters in no way means i don't like the game. If you were able to read the whole thing i wrote without your ADD kicking in, you'd see that i said i like the other characters. I'm just giving feedback to a site the MK people might look at for future reference.

Are you serious? First of all, i'm allowed to state my opinion on two characters. I'm also stating dislike for two fictional characters, while you go on a message board and make assumptions about me and you don't know me at all. You need to turn down your raging hardon for video game chicks and admit they suck

lol, but any way, I think Ashra looks cool... I didnt until I saw her bio tho. THe idea with the sword and the demons... and the fact that she IS a new character all on her own... no tie in to any one.
Kira will be one of those characters I hardly play... I think she sucks ass too... but the rest of the game looks great... so just because one character sucks, I'll still play the game... hell, even Bo looks a little better, and I hated him in MKDA

I think it's time to cut Bo out, I started to like the direction he was going in and then all the farting came in. I think they need to realize that a good portion of the people playing are too old for stupid sound effects and fart humor

Don't contradict yourself by saying "you don't know me" and then making ASSUMPTIONS about me and "video game chicks". It just makes you look stupid, have a nice life if that's possible with half a brain.

I agree, I may be under the specified age to play the game, but fart sounds arnt that funny, and to make a fatality about it is just dumb. Farting is more embarrising than funny. Bo should only stay in the game as a teacher, thats about it.

It seems like they put more emphasis on the farting in this game...and I'm 21 for whoever it was that asked, i can still appreciate a fart joke, but not a character who is based on it.
In a serious game, you shouldn't be able to list off a characters main traits and be like:
Scorpian- spear, sub-zero- freezing, bo rai cho- flatulance

I use to take the same stance, but I dont think having one fun character is really a problem. id rather have a fun character than a bunch of characters that dont really matter (Jade, Kira, Sonya, Cage, etc.) Really, I'd like the game to get darker. Thus far the fatalities dont look all that great... every fatality has a head being shot across the stage. The Stage where the body drops 1,000 feet and then breaks apart is pretty lame.
I know its really hard to talk about Reality in a Mortal Kombat fighting game where there are people shootin electricty all over the place and guys walking around with flaming skulls, but I would like to see some reality as it relates to how the body takes damage... heads should just pop off, skin shouldnt just peel off of rib cages, etc.

What you want doesnt seem to be mortal kombat though. MK was never that real and always has forced some sort of joke or comic relief.

I dont know, Mortal Kombat 1 seemed pretty real... considering how it was...
just cuz a body hit the ground didnt mean every inner part came flying out.
Maybe I should explain a little better.
I dont have a problem with people eating heads or anything like that... I just dont like how the victims body responds... the body parts flying off for no reason is just a little weird to me.

Im not gonna defend the fart jokes because I dont like them either. They need at least something though. Maybe the return of friendships or something.

What do people on this board have against freedom of speech. I hate to break it to people but perfection hasn't been achieved as much as you really think it has. And how come it seems as if someone has one gripe with the game and says he likes everything else, no one hears the part where he likes everything else....i guess people don't like to read too much and just wanna rip someone apart.

Im not gonna look at your link, but games will never be that real in the gore department, for OBVIOUS reasons. I wouldnt want them to either, thats dimented.

Yeah but 34, this whole series is built on over the top violence. Was it any more realistic when Scorpion blew fire out of his mouth in MK1? But I get what you're saying. Some of the stuff can be so over the top it's just silly, and if you want a game to be dark, silly doesn't really fit in too well. I've got no problems with Bo Rai Cho being in the game. Will I use him at all? Doubtful, but who knows.
As for Kira and Ashrah...I'm still not interested in the latter. I like Ashrah's story, but she looks like a female Rayden. I know, the hat isn't exactly the same, but still. I just don't dig her look. Kira has an awesome look, and I look forward to using her in MK:D.
As for the whole argument thing...There's no reason for anyone to make assumptions about people on this board. About 99% of the people on this board like the MK series, and as long as we all agree on that, then who cares if people don't like one character, or one MK game, etc? I thought that MK3 was a huge step backwards from MK1 and MK2. I think that Stryker is one of the most rediculous looking characters in the series because he looks like Joey from Full House with a backwards hat and a night stick. Who cares? It's just my opinion. I disagree with the guy who sees Jade as a pointless character. That doesn't mean I'm going to insult him personally.
Oh well, I'll end that rant. Anyways, here's hoping MK:D rocks! 25 days left!

Sorry, I wasnt trying to be argumentative, just basically sticking up for myself and the other guy who agrees with me. Someone says to leave the board cuz I dont like the fat guy who farts or the "new" character with sonya and kanos moves and a different "skin", sorry but I dont think thats right.
Bottom line, people need to stop thinking im personally attacking them or Ed Boon or Mortal Kombat because I dont like 2 of th 20+ characters in the game.
And then it has to resort to me explaining that I have been playing Mortal Kombat since it first came out, that its really the only fighting game I have played, i grew up on it, i used to make and sell my own strategy guides, etc etc etc, just because I dont like 2 people...
