So why do you think Scorpion chose to work for those chumps, the Elder Gods? Scorpion has not been known to serve anyone with out getting compensated. Take his human appearance in MKSM. He was a ninja, a hired assasine. In MK 1 - MKT he serves no one but himself. And in MK4 - MKG, Scorpion works for Quan Chi in exchange for life and revenge against Sub-Zero.

So why does Scorpion just up and work for the Elder Gods? I have one theory that Monster is Scorpion! I know that Monster was intended to be Scorpion's primary costume, but think about it. He was the Elders Champion and obeyed them without complaint. So after he dissappeared, his punishment may have been that of reincarnation. Having to live as a human. I know that this is a silly idea, but thats what I think. Why else would Scorpion work for them? He has to get something, right? Another theory is that Scorpion may get Quan Chi as his reward for serving the Elders, or even his slaughtered family.
