Mavado in my opinion is just very standard, I'm not particularly exstatic about him, but I don't mind him either.
Anyhow:

Things to talk about:
MKDA appearence, like or not.
Storyline, endings, fatalities
Moves, costumes,
Return in MK6?
Movie/TV appearences (should he, by who?)

Other stuff to post:

STARTER QUESTION (feel free to expand and diverse): Do you think Mavado's red dragon clan should have made an appearance in Mortal Kombat, or do you think they should have just kept it with the Black Dragon?

AND ANOTHER: Are you happy with Mavado's appearence in MKDA? Is there anything that could have been added to him, to make him that bit more special?

i think mavados image rocks! and they shouldnt change it, i think they could give him more story, and a little more special moves, but as a quick strong fighter i like him, they could also change his fatality though, how he manages to pull back in mid-air is amazing!, and i think his moves with the weapons are the best.

I think Movado is a great character, but I never really got into him because he takes SOOOOO LOOOOONG to recover from his moves! If somebody blocks a combo or a move of his, it's almost guaranteed he's gonna get an ass whoopin.

But, he's got one of the coolest moves in the game! You know the one where he sticks his (or should I say Kabal's) Hookswords in his opponents shoulders, then smashes their face into the ground. Now thats a hardcore move! Also looks very painful...

Kool character he is...but, he's look could be better. Yes, I think he should return In MK6 or even Mortal Kombat: Deadly Revenge. For my view he's over all is...7.5/10.

I don't like him very much. But I do agree the hooksword move where he brings your head down to the ground is some quality, hardcore shit. Besides that his moves aren't that good. As a character overall he's alrite. I like the way his follower, Hsu Hao, fights better. I think the should make Mavado get killed (maybe by Jax) and then make Hsu Hao take over the Red Dragon clan.

mavado is easily the coolest looking MK charector. But whats with the hook things that come out of his arms they just look stupid. its these that spoil his charector i think they should have given him a decent special move/power. His fatality sucks.But his weapons are cool! I would give him 6.5/10
Okay, so some mixed opinions about him. However, what about the Red Dragon thing? See below:

i dont like the fact that he is in a gang, it woulda been better if it was just him doing jobs for money, woulda been more mysterious, because they said that he killed Kabal in a brutal fight, and i thought that rocked!..and who else is in his gang?

Mavado is a cool character and his hooksword moves rule! I think they need to develop his character more. If they bring him back to fight the Lin Kuei (see his ending) then there should be more depth and reason for him doing it!

Overall Mavado is great and one of my fave characters!

Mavado's secondary outfit totally rocks.

I don't like "Long Fist" but his other two styles are cool, especially the Hookswords. I'd say they're the coolest weapons in the game.

Mavado's clan has (hopefully) meant to riddance of that goddamn annoying bastard Kano. I seriously don't like him. It's good that they're changing slowly and with the right movement and development, Mavado will become incredibly cool. Can't wait to see how his storyline turns out.

OMG! I forgot about about that costume. I agree with you. It's one of the best in the game and Long fist is pretty poor except for the juggling opportunities! Wing Chun and Hookswords kick ass! Although Mavado has huge lag times and is a little slow!

I dislike Kano also!

He's one of my fav characters. With his hookswords I beat 2 or 3 times the tournement at maximum difficulty.
The costume is one of the best (with a very nice alternate one), he should of course appear in the movie and in MK6(because of the ending).

No one is a bigger Mavado fan than me, in which I'll say as to design, and character, he's PERFECT. But he DOES need more variety in his styles and combos. BUT, his combos are pretty powerful and devastating.

Mavado is a character with a very cool look, but I prefer his alternate costume look a lot more. I didn't really like the whole Red Dragon story anyway. The MK team should have came up with a better story and character for him, but there were a couple of interesting things about him. One thing is that he kills Kabal and takes his hookswords. (even though I like Kabal, I didn't really see much story potential for him anyway.) The thing that's going to be interesting with him is when he tries to destroy the Lin Kuei. Perhaps Sektor could join Mavado together to get rid of Sub-Zero. Let's hope that Mavado's ending actually happened and that Kano is dead along with the whole Mavado vs. Sub-Zero and Mavado & Sektor alliance.
