For EX: i think scorpion would look awesome in an all black with some grey ninja outfit...with only like a yellow belt--> as an alternate costume (as opposed to being all yellow.)

Another EX: Sub-Zero has an alternate outfit like that of Raiden, but in shades of blue (because sub is getting older and wiser - reaching a higher status)

Jax sort of did this in DA when his alternate outfit was like a rapper thug with a big bling bling: did you guys like that? i loved it, made him so much more blacker (yet it wasnt very much kombat-ish) Cage is another, with his tuxedo.

so much blacker ?!? thats jus a stero type all black people dont dress in thug gear and all that ice ( gold ) on our neck and if MK thinks thats what a thug is they got it all wrong ... there must have been very few blacks working on the game if jax " thug " wear was supoosed to be like that ... he looked liked something back in the day thugs dont wear stuff like that sorry but Jax looked a hot mess in MK:DA

I agree that you can't "act a certain color" but at the same time, it's obvious they were trying to make him act more "black". I think it was very stupid to do and if I were black I would be offended.

I would like to see four outfits for each character.

The first outfit would be the default outfit.

The second outfit would be a color difference from the first outfit.

The third outfit would be the character's alternative costume.

The fourth outfit would be the characters debut outfit for only the classic characters who went from 2-D to 3-D.
EX.
Sub-Zero's ninja costume from the original Mortal Kombat.
Kung Lao's Mortal Kombat II costume.
Johnny Cage's outfit from the original Mortal Kombat.

Even outside of a moral standpoint, it would be "more black," not "blacker."

This thread has problems. Anyway, to answer the topic question, I wouldnt mind if the oufits strayed away from the original looks. But that would also run the risk of ruining the characters classic styles. I dunno.
