Weapon styles are optional in MK:A, so I'm assuming anyone can wield anything.

Frost can keep her daggers. They're not the same as the Sai, but they could be used the same which I hope they are not.

Jax with the Tonfa I don't mind, but imo he should have something heavier and the Tonfas can be left for Stryker who used them originally.

I want Sonya to have the Kali Sticks and Kobra to get something else. I'm sure what he should have though.

Mavado must have Hookswords! Kabal can have a pair too and the both of them can use them differently. Across the games they did use them differently anyway so they can keep that trend going in MKA.

Quan should definitely have his living weapon. i didn't find the dual Broadswords fitting for him.

For Sareena, I would like her to have something fast and manageable. I'm no weapons expert so I couldn't say what. It shou;dn't be long range or a sword though.

Sindel's Kwan Do was great. I'd like her with a whip, but I doubt it'd happen.

If Sonya isn't having the Kali Sticks, give her the Wind Blade she had in MK4! That is such an amazing weapon!

Tanya's Kobojutsu are fine. She need snothing else, just more improvements to this weapon set.

Fujin needs something godly. I'd give him the wind Blade if Sonya weren't using it or create something similar for him.

I agree on the big clay sword for Kintaro. You mean a claymore or something right? I think one would be ideal for him.

Motaro should have a lance or spear. Or he could use his damn tail as a weapon. It reminds me of medieval times.

I have no idea what Rain could use. I can't really envision a weapon for him.

I wouldn't mind Reiko having his old spoiked club back or maybe have some sort of sceptre or staff type wepaon. He seems mage like to me now so it'd fit him.

If Sektor gets a Pulse Blade I'll be angry! That weapon is incredibly lame and a cheap ripoff of Shang's Straight Sword! Sektor needs something new and futuristic. It needs to be badass and powerful too.

Shinnok needs something magical. A sceptre or wand of some sort would be nice for him. My actual idea here would be to create a weapon out of magically energy. It'd look sick.

jax-i agree that jax is in desperate need of a new weapon but i don't know what he could possible have.

kobra-yeah kobra needs somthing a little more reckless, the kali sticks seem a little to eh, serious for him.

liu kang- there are to many swords in the game already, but i do think that he should get something else. so yeah the dragon sword i guess for liu kang.

mavado-mavado- does need a new weapon, it's possible that he will have the hookswords but if he does i think he'll use them exactly like kabal, i say give him something new.

quan chi-quan chi's MK:DA staff from the concept are should've been his weapon, he MUST have it in MK:A

sareena-she can keep the weapon she had in mythologies, but maybe only have one to make her different from nitara.

sindel-i also like the idea of her having a whip, either that or she should use her hair as a weapon. if not that then she should have like a royal septer but at the same time i did like her kwan dao.

tanya-i loved her MK:D weapon i say keep it.

fujin-i like the crossbow actually, but i say give him a regular bow and arrow. he could hit people with the bow like a mele weapon. and use the arrow as a projectile.

sonya-i loved that kali sticks, i loved the windmill thing too, either one and i'm fine.

kintaro-yeah a a very, very, very ,very large sword suits him.

motaro-i honestly can't get my mind around the idea of him having a weapon.

rain-eh, he's supposed to be knight so maybe a knights sword kinda excalibur. or maybe a big shield

reiko-this man needs an axe you can weild with two hands.

sektor-eh...i don't know something ninjaish since he was a former lin kuei warrior. plamsa kunais.

sheeva-i think she needs quan chi's MK:DA weapon, only four for each hand instead of two.

shinnok-in MK4/G they should him with the stave that thing that his amulet was on.
he should just get that back.

With those gigantic metal arms does Jax really need a weapon?

1. Sonya Blade: Wheel-wind-blade or Kali sticks (both amazing and powerful weapons)

2. Johnny Cage: Let him have the nunchus he had in MKDA, Liu Kang needs a new one.

3. Mileena: Sais.

4. Sindel: A WHIP!!!!!!

5. Shang Tsung: A sword I guess, but something more original for him would be great.

6. Nitara: Kamas are fine.

7. Rayden: Staff.

8. Li Mei: Er, I want her to have something original and new.

9. Ermac AND Kenshi: Both had great weapons. Ermacs axe rocks.

10. Sheeva: Hmmm, 4 whip like things for each hand would be cool.

11. Quan Chi: His living weapon would be awesome.

12. Baraka: Blades.

13. Shinnok: Something original that involves the Amulet and magical powers (look at one of his pics in MK4, were he holds a staff with the amulet on top).

14. Shao Kahn: Hammer.

15. Sub-Zero and Reptile: I like Sub-Zeros Mk4 weapon, it was awesome. Reptile should get SNAKES for a weapon, lol.

16. Cyrax AND Sektor: Please, something ORIGINAL and DIFFERENT for each.

17. Kano: I thought his knifes were cool in MKDA, just make them glow.

18. Kabal: Hookswords.

19. Havik: Same, its cool.

20. Hotaru: Same, its cool.

21. Frost: Same, its cool. But make them bigger, let us see that she has evolved.

22. Drahmin: I disliked his MKDA weapon, give him something new.

23. Moloch: Doesnt need it, nor styles.

24. Ashrah: It was awesome, let her have it.

25. Jade: Make it more simple and glow like in Mk3.

Blaze: idk... maybe the game could randomly choose another characters weapon style but the weapon is made of flame

mokap: those who have seen the making of mk vid on deadly alliace will know what I mean. Remember when someone shows the Motion capture weapons? I think I distinctly remember hookswords except they were like black and had neon pink things on them...well I think that just like that randomly choosing amongst the weapons that this would be the PERFECT weapon for mokap

they ought to look at SC3 on how to use weapons in a game, i.e. characters like Zasalamel and Cervantes

most characters are ok but there are a few i would like to see get changed:

subzero - ice wand (mk4)
cyrax - spinning blade (sonya's in mk4) fitting with his chest blade i think
sector: pulse blade but unique moveset
scorpion: have his sword on fire like in concept art
quan chi: living weapon
reptile or dragon king: kirehashi
sheeva: 4xscimitars - will look ilke general grievous from star wars
noob saibot: could potentially have possession of the ice wand to strengthen the subzero storyline in which case subby would retain the kori blade
drahmin: idk maybe something old and rusty - scythe?
kung lao: could use his hat as a weapon - was effective in this manner in a brutality from mk:sm

other weapons:
tiger claws - basically wolverine claws used typically by mercenaries and assassins in rpg games. perhaps for dairou
leg bone + hip - used like a club, the remains could belong to an old mortal kombat champion imbued with magic or just some shmo like a seidan guard. i think this would be cool for someone like havoc or drahmin. perhaps it could be meat's leg

Cyrax's chest blade would be awesome as a weapon.

Sheeva WOULD look cool with four scimitars in each hand... I had never really thought of that. By the way in my post up there I think I forgot to add that Quan-Chi should have his living weapon.

LIU KANG shouldn't have a weapon, niether should JAX he's got frickin metal arms for christ's sake

LI MEI should have her MKDA sai AND her MKD sword, that would be interesting, as I read somewhere that 2 fighting styles are a possibility

SINDEL her kwan do didn't really fit, but it was good gamewise

JADE I agree her weapon should be more like in UMK3, where it was just a stick that glowed purple occassionally

SONYA's wind blade I HATE IT! Why would a special forces agent have one of those? What Sonya really needs is a big ol' gun like jax. Perhaps the wind blade would work for FUJIN, after all it's the WIND blade. He should have a main weapon style like the wind blade and then keep his crossbow as a projectile attack.

KINTARO needs like a big ass morning star thing.

GORO, I don't think he should have a weapon either, nor should some of the other big ass bosses Moloch Onaga Blaze etc. Well Moloch has his big boulder.

STRYKER obviously needs his nightstick

SEKTOR excellent idea whoever it was who said he should use the thing out of his back from MK3, or maybe his hands should turn into lyk, giant pizza slicer type things like cyrax's move in MKDA, which would cause the opponent to stagger backwards.

SMOKE should have mini axes like human smoke and scorpion in MKT

MAVADO and KABAL should BOTH have hookswords but use them _ differently. Maybe Mavado holds them like this | | and Kabal like this _

And I agree, KOBRA is supposed to be a thug, why would he use kali sticks? There more....bo'rai cho. He needs like some lil scally knife or something. Bo'Rai Cho should keep his jujutsu.

i think they should reshape sub-zeros kori blade because i really didnt like it
goro should have a double sided spear and a shield
havik has to keep his morning star it was so cool
maybe kira could have the tonfa but two so stryker can have his nightstick
frost can have bladed rings one in each hand
and maybe bo rai cho can have double broad swords because his stick kinda sucked

Ehh, I didn't really like Ermac's weapon in Deception. He doesn't really seem like an Axe guy to me, kinda' unoriginal. He's suppose to be a mysterious amalgamation from outworld, that was being controlled by Shao Kahn, set free by Kenshi, and became a good guy. The Axe doesn't really suit his character, in my opinion.

Sindel should defintiely have whip. It seems to match her and i think having fast strikes with a whip is better for her then to be swinging a Kwan Dao around.

Sektor should have either a red pulse blade,or the claw thing.

Kira should have a knife,so Kano can have the daggers.

Stryker SHOULD have his Nightstick,not some daggers!
Sheeva should have a spear.

And Motaro should have a halberg(sp).

Raiden needs to lose the staff he needs some weapon that can produce lightning and manipulate it. Any ideas guys?

Kintaro: They have to give Him a really "BIG" Sword (4 Handed)

Sektor: He can get a weapon similar like sonyas in MK4.

Onaga: A Huge Scepter With a Dragon Head and wings or a Scythe

Blaze: A Flaming Sword.

Noob: I think 2 doble edge Axes.

Shnag Tsung: They have to give him somethign different and not the sword they give him in MK:DA.

Reiko: I think they can give him a War Hammer. But not like the Shao Khans Hammer. Something a bit smaller and with a strange desing.

There are some charcater that they have to change their weapons. Like Kobra And Jax.

Jax needs to give Stryker the Tonfas, because he does not need a weapon.

Liu Kang needs to change his num-chucks (sp?). They were really hard to hit with in MK: D, I think that a change to possibly a sword would be good for him.

Someone needs the Dragon Tail(from prince of persia3). If you don't know what it is , it is kinda like a sword/whip type of weapon.
