Why? MK has used many ideas from movie/tv/comic/etc. The evil twin, actor/Martial artist, Miltary chick that kicks butt, etc.. Hey, the MK1 was going to be based off the movie Bloodsport except that Van Damn said no.

Its just that I don't see Ashrah being evil or Raiden turning anytime soon. So I'm going to assume they are on the same side: Good. Also, why would Ashrah dress like Raiden if they didn't have a father/daughter relationship. (if this is true)

If she isn't Raiden's daughter....then it must be the strange need of Midway for characters with funny hats.

Well, I'm not so sure if that would be liked by everyone. We'd know what was coming next.

As for how Ashrah dresses, well maybe she's a big Raiden fan and decides to copy how he dresses! lol If not that then we'll go with the father/daughter theory instead!
