You act like Hsu Hao and Mavado are the only Red Dragon members. There are more, they just haven't been introduced.

Two characters can have the same (if not similar) weapon. Look at Kenshi and Scorpion. Mavado can still use hookswords. There are more than one pair of hookswords in the world.

I highly doubt Nitara and Mavado would align. I really don't have a basis behind that, I just don't see it happening.

I didn't have a lot of time for Mavado. I'd prefer Nitara back but if shes not and we get a male well I'd be happy to see someone we already know of having his destiny changed this way.

Mavado's assasin personification suits him best. I would not like it if Mavado transformed into a vampire. Mavado should be associated with other characters besides Nitara. I think that Nitara would not even bother with a mere human as she would picture Mavado as a happy meal with legs and a leather suit.

Okay. Nitara's fatality involves her bitting her opponant. Don't you turn into a vampire after being bitten by one as the legend goes. I thought this opend up potential for alot of cool stuff ie vampiric Reptile, that sort of thing. Personally though some of you might think it'd be cheap I'd like to see a charictor returning as a Vampire Via Nitara rather then introducing a new vampire. Pardon my spelling.

Actually...as the legend goes...the vampire bites you, AND you have to drink their blood to become one of the undead. Didn't see any of that going on in MKDA. Or did I miss something??

this most likely won't happen. Mavado will be back, but he can just bring another of his sub-ordinates with him. The Red Dragon is another clan! There are more of them. Mavado is going o be pissed at Hsu Haos death and Jax will be his target, if he finds out that it was Jax that killed Hsu Hao. With all the stuff Mavado needs to do now, we may see a few new Red Dragons appear to help him with his work.

i always hated mavado he didnt have any good specials so if they could make him a vamp and make him better and better whoop has projectiles

I never liked Mavado either. I felt taht he had some really good potential in the ways of specials, yet nothing impressive was done. Okay, he had a catapult kick thing and a side-step move that was useful yet not worthy of the title "Special."

Am I the only one that thinks vampires shouldn't belong in MKD ?

I am more than excited about this game, but vampires do NOT fit in to the MK world. It just doesn't work for me.

Not to say that Nitara was a bad character.

I always hated Mavado. Not to mention his fatality rivals the neck stretch in being the stupidest and worst fatality of all time. People might disagree with me here, though.

I think that Vampires can fit in MK, if Reptiles & Shokans are in, why can't vampires????

Because vampires are about as cliche as it gets. Shokans are original, reptiles aren't run into the ground. Just doesn't fit IMO. Fits in darkstalkers, not MK.

I didn't like Mavado. Nitara turning him into a Vampire would not only make an awesome cut-scene but consider this as well :

Mavado could be an Vampire and still head the Red Dragon at the same time!

Transforming into a Vamp might just give him new motivation and power.

I'd be happy to see it, like I said before.

I like the idea sumixam... I for 1 did not like nitara, but mavado is the only new character in mkda that I liked a lot and him being a vampire would add a nice twist to his and nitaras story.
Doesn't nitara have some problems w/ cyrax? So she could be trying to turn powerful men/women into vampires like herself to help her fight vs. the Special Forces. Hopefully she could turn Sonya into 1 also, because Sonya defiantly needs a story change... maybe even nitara is the 1 who frees kitana from the dragon king only to turn her into 1. I will admit even my girl kitana needs a story change...

*note im not 100% up to date on the nitara, cyrax and Sonya stories. So sorry if im wrong about nitara having beef w/ the Special Forces...sorry

Thanx mate and well I am not big on the stories either. Not only am I not a protector of the storyline like some here act (no serious offence because I do learn a bit as well) but I don't agree with them all either. For example Sektors offshoot story at the end of the MKDA Gameboy I think which perhaps not that many here even played. I would be happy if Sektor remained a souless assasin or bodyguard (one for Nitara even better). IMO that fits him perfectly.

Anyway rant aside, my main reasoning in this thread was I didn't personally like Mavado. His partner in crime is apparently dead and he has a look already that could fit in with the whole Vampire persona.

Why not then breathe some fresh air into his story and have him go to Nitara out of desperation as the Red Dragon had been bought to it's knees after Hsu Haos death. Have Nitara agree on an alliance and seal it by turning Mavado into one of her species (albeit not a pureblood). Then allow him to resume focus and leadership of the Red Dragon with her pulling his strings like a puppet for her own evil means as well.

It isn't that bad an idea.

I don't want too many Vamps but since one more is rumoured, why not make a better Mavado?
