Zero has a point, where is Sub's freaking scar gone to all of a sudden? I'm beginning to think this is not the younger one, but the elder thought to be killed in Mk1. Think about it, he was always an evil crony, so it would make sense why this subby is evil.

Although i love sub-zeros new look, his story is still boring, yes it has changed, he is now grandmaster but.....nothing new.

Yea good theory. A powered up and evil Sub Zero would be a more formidable opponent than shang tsung and quan chi combined.

people, please keep in mind that sub-zero isnt "the deception"..the game its self is a deception..it isnt just based on one thing, its based on every character, and it all wraps around one storyline...not a specific character.

True, that. However, it's fun to theorize exactly what deceptions will happen and who will be doing them.

I am very much intrigued by this Sub-Zero/Dragon Medallion theory. Not so much the part about Smoke taking the Medallion for himself, but the rest I think is interesting. It would be an unexpected twist in the plotline.

As far as Subby not having his scar, well... Do we really know what kind of powers the Medallion bestows upon someone? We already know it increases one's natural powers and abilities to astronomical proportions. Perhaps it would also take away Subby's Death Mark? (The scar on his eye's from when the Lin Kuei marked him for death after leaving them in MK3, by the way.)

Scorpion, however, I doubt would decide to help stop Subby, at least not until his revenge is complete. This makes sense: He's a selfish bastard that doesn't care what he has to do, as long as he gets what he wants. Helping stop Subby from turning evil would, in his mind, no doubt, not further his goal to assassinate Quan Chi for his family's/clan's death. After he deals with the sorcerer, however... That would be a different matter.

Yes but Subzero is a major player in the MK story so he may be the major deception

scorpio thats a perfect theory and i was wonderin if his medallion had anything to do with him and the dragon king. i hope that this is how the storyline will go and that smoke might help him or something cuz subs already in tons of trouble besides the ammy with sektor, red dragon, and makin a deal with sareena. i think that ashrah will be after sub because he helped a demon. maybe sub knows where sareena went but wont tell ashrah so she tries to beat it outa him. these are just a few things going on with sub

wow awesome storyline idea temp, that would be awesome, scorpion befriends him and they both join the evil alignment, I like it.

i think that the major deception involves subzero, baraka and mileena. think about it, those were the first three characters we got art for so it makes sense that midway based the story on those three characters in some way

hey we have already seen the sub-boss for mortal kombat deception.......its SUB-ZERO! now that would be very cool!

I went back to search the origin of the Dragon Medaillon that SubZero and Sektor fought for the control of it. Your theory makes sense since we don't really know where he got it or where it was found. The only thing we know is that it enchanced Subzero's powers and he has yet to discoverd the limits.
Like you said Smoke was friend and ally with Subzero before being captured and turned into cyborg. He still has a soul. It could work for the storyline; coming to aid his old ally.
