I heard somewhere that Smoke and Sektor are Japanese, i could be completely off base, but that's what i heard.

Cyrax is black? R u sure? Iv played as him many times in his alt form and i dont beleve he is black. But i could be wrong......

Well, Smoke is white. We've seen his human form in MK2 and U3/Trilogy.
Sektor I don't know. If I had to guess, I'd say he was Chinese, seeing as he's suppossed to be a purely loyal Lin Kuei member and the Lin Kuei were based in China.

I just remembered, if you ever played MK3, Smoke's ending shows a picture of him and he looks mexican, or hes caucasian and hes really tan.

I think sektor has no soul, hes pretty much pure machine. Anyways, i think in the comics, he was a brown guy, i dont remember what his hair style was, probably braids, but i cant recall. But dont forget, this is comics.

I think smoke is bald, it looks that way in his ending of MKU/MKT

Don't know if you ever saw the Mortal Kombat cartoon, but one episode showed a flashback of Sektor and Cyrax before they were cyborgs. Sektor was white, and Cyrax was black.

I thought there human bodies were gone, but in MKDA it shows there bodies are under the robot armor.

Yeah man i agree, i think Sektor is the only robot with no soul left, i mean he volunteered to be automated.

If you've ever seen the cartoon, the episode "Old friends never die" we see a flash back in Sub-Zero's past. We see that Cyrax was pale with a black scare on his right eye and short hair. Sektor was black. He had shoulder lenght hair and the top was in a ponytail. Smoke was white and he had a military haircut with black hair. That was the cartoon. In the game Cyrax is black.

Uh, really all members of the lin keui would probbly be Chinese, considering it's a chinese bassed clan.. it's possible they got members from across the ocean, but the reference to him being white is most likley because the character they had doing his mokap was white.

Umm...black people aren't limited to country, just like whites or asians, spanish, etc.


Anyway, I think the most logical explanation is that Cyrax was probably recruited from America, maybe by Sub-Zero's father. Remember, in the backstory, I think it was MKM, it said that Sub-Zero's father travelled to America frequently (explaining current Sub's caucasion look). It's entirely possible that while searching for his children, he recruited cyrax from a dojo, off the street, from a martial arts tournament...antyhing is possible.

Actually some have said Cyrax looks Arab or Indian rather than "black." The fact that he doesn't have any hair leaves his race as somewhat questionable.

some people can say "theyre being racist cos they havent got enough black people in there" well in my view the people who say that are just as racist, simply because your wanting them to have black people in the game based on their colour

It never says they need to be chinese. But remember this, even if it did say that, it might be reffering to chinese nationality. It really doesn't matter what race the ppl are.
