I believe some at GameStar said both were useable.

Ugh, I can't imagine having to use the stick for MK (the ps2 & xbox that is). I prefer the d pad. joysticks all the way though

ive used sticks since MKT was on ps...I use the Reflex for the Xbox...it worked great for MKDA

I'm hoping both so people get a choice. I'll be getting it on Gamecube, and I love it really. But seriously, MKDA is fuckin hard to play with such a small Dpad.

I can't play the older MK games on a D-Pad...but I can play MKDA on both D-Pad and stick.
I will be using my X-Arcade stick for MK Deception.

I can't do precise movements with a joystick, I'm used to the d-pad.

i use the d-pad in all fighting games. the only exception was dragon ball z budokai, for some reason the stick felt better.

I use the D-pad and the Xarcade joystick.Either are fine for me.

probably use the analog stick but for fatalities
and such, I will use the D-pad

Im definitely using a joystick its a huge advantage in blocking on a joystick then using a controller.

I was actually just about to make a topic sorta like this. I have an XBox and does anyone kno where I can get a joystick, like in the arcades? I''m sure they make them, but where can I buy them, what brands do y'all like, and what's the best value?

I hope both returns. So every one gets what they want. I personally prefer the d-pad, it was much easier to use. Especially for performing tricky fatalities.

I recently bought an Arcade stick.
It's just like the arcade with a wooden box and the buttons and the stick feel just like the arcade, but it's only one controller.
It's big and heavy, so it doesn't shift around on you. I hate the little ones because they don't stay still.
It's the best joy stick pad I have ever bought.
It's called the "Real Arcade Universal"
It works with the Game Cube, PS2 and Xbox.
Only thing is that you can NEVER EVER plug it in to more than 1 system at a time.
I plugged it in to my PS2 and Xbox and now my ps2 won't recognize it.
So It's an awesome controller, just MAKE SURE you don't plug it in to 2 or 3 systems at the same time.
I bought it at Game stop.
